The forum is too crowded with some(not all) meaningless threads, which bumps off some good topics that are made. I think LALakersFan4Life should have a thread just for all of the articles he posts. Like a daily NBA news type of thing. It would make the NBA Discussion more organized and might boost some activity. Just my 2 cents.

In before the delete! Threads about this were deleted at least twice, cuz staff probably don't care about quality discussions as much in the NBA Talk section, they want LALakersFan4Life, a contributor, to post these threads like crazy so it looks like a more active section. It's a shame if my wild theory is true lol. We need more discussions and those million threads just flood the forum. Jerry is doing good work with threads but they will be dropped down soon.

Those are some threads in the first 3 pages. A couple of them perhaps you can discuss a bit, and others are just like.... ok. "Hawks waiting on Williams...." who cares? No one here.

Posting articles is good and useful, just use sense in what's posted. Larry Hughes WON'T be Marbury, sweet news!!!

^ Ehh, last resort if people can't understand what is threadworthy and what's not. I'm against extra limits, but that forum is already being FLOODED with topics. Injury reports are cool, new info yea... but "Dwight Howard wants to shoot FTs better".... we would assume as much

The main problem are the meaningless articles and YouTube videos. No offense, but no one cares about people laughing at NBA players or some other nonsense videos. News articles are good but some are unnecessary. I couldn't care less about Tyreke Evans and his turnover problems as well quotes about "championships are important" and all that.

I wouldn't mind a limit (maybe not 5 though) if it prevents people from posting unnecessary threads. I just don't want to see like 5 YouTube threads in a row (which is dumb because you could've probably just create an official thread for YouTube vids) which really have nothing to do with the NBA except for maybe like 2-3 mins of old commentary.

I really like how the admins are listening to user feedback and enacting lots of changes. I love this place.

News topics in an Official NBA News subforum, and all other topics (ex. Gasol vs. Dirk) in the main NBA Talk forum.

You don't want to get rid of what you have right now, just modify it. The news topics help significantly when it comes to the site's ranking. Search bots feast on those. A topic discussing Coby Karl being waived by Boston is STILL about the Boston Celtics, so in a sense, it doesn't matter the news.

But yes, separate them. Make a stickied post explaining the difference between the two. Problem solved.
