Ugly? It's the same basic design with a widescreen upgrade and accelerometer. Sounds good to me. Although I'd probably go with this (http://us.creative.c...p;product=17811) instead. FM radio, built-in mic, expandable memory (sd and sdhc), more audio and video codec compatibility, better battery life, speaker, larger screen...all for the same price.

Expandable memory, it works, somewhat. You can only play the songs from the mem card alone, you can't mix into what's in your player's internal memory...and playing the songs in the mem card is a mode by itself.

This is what I read from a review site....which basically puts me off my decision for Zen X-Fi.

You don't have to buy every singly one. If the one you have now fits your need, why the need to upgrade?

With the new thin look, better battery life & price drop. It's enticing. Don't really need or care for external speaker. But volume control is nice. But why not also integrate back/force buttons. I'm still waiting for Apple to release an official remote for the touch. And I'm not going to buy the new earphone. But 32 is still not enough for me. A 64 would be perfect. So I'll just wait until they bump it up. Til then, I'll still love my 1st gen touch as the day I first got it.

Nano I think is the best one yet. But I have no need for one (yet). Don't really care about the Classic, though I do feel your pain Classic owners. Why take a step back? Are they really going to discontinue the model?

It's just smart business on their part. I bet in their meetings, they brainstorm a bunch of features, features they could easily integrate into one release, but then they just separate them and release them a few at a time because people will always want to upgrade.

something always new around the corner with apple. New ipod touch looks nice but only what a new speaker? volume buttons sound nice but if that's it i'm happy with my current ipod touch.

now it will really hurt when the new macbooks come out..

If yu do not jailbreak your iPod, you aren't using it to its full potential. My friend jailbreaked his first gen touch.

There's not very many games you can enjoy with the emulator IMO, because it's just too frustrating to control on such a small screen. It's cool at first for novelty value, but I quickly got bored of it. They are making a controller accessory though so that should be cool.

Yea, I remember watching a youtube video of a guy testing out a very rough prototype he made. I can't find the video right now, but the concept is something like this:

(don't get your hopes up..someone just photoshopped an ipod touch onto a psp and pasted a screenshot of SSMB, but that's basically the idea right there)

So they've stopped with the 80GB Classic one? I just saw on their site that they only have a newer 120GB available now and that's it if i'm not mistaken.

something's gotta' be wrong.. anyway.. i was gonna' get the 80gig and upgrade over my 30gig.. but now with the 120 coming out and being around the same price.. i might just go all the way.

I don't think BB online keeps up with the iPods. But in their stores, they're going pretty cheap. Just to get rid of it for the newer models.
