Let's see what we have...
- Ignore Feature
If you need to ignore a member, but can't do that on your own (because guys DO get on others' nerves through PM's and in legitimate discussion threads), there's an ignore feature. Go to the profile of the member you wish to ignore, use the simple drop-down menu to the left, under his personal photo (Options), and select the option to ignore him/her. You can't ignore the staff members, but ignoring a member makes their posting invisible to your eyes, and keeps them from PM'ing you (I believe, I have never had to use this feature). You can manage ignored members in my Controls (under the banner) > Manage Ignored Users.
- Fast Reply Box
Older versions of phpBB didn't have this by default, but IP.Board does. The fast reply box is probably one of my favorite features. You know exactly what it does and you know where it's at (always waiting for you at the bottom of each topic, just hit the button), but if you want to keep it open all the time, go to My Controls > Board Settings and select yes to "Open Fast Reply automatically when available?"
- Useful Tags
If you want to embed a YouTube video, or cover up a potential spoiler, you can. To the left of every post reply, you will see a Quick Access box under the Emoticons. Each selection will explain how the tag works. Hell, you can even center items, something you should have been able to do with all versions of phpBB.
- A real member profile
IP.Board actually gives you the chance to have a real member profile that's actually worth reading. You can have an About Me page, add a personal photo, and maintain a list of friends and comments.
- Extra Board Settings
Under My Controls > Board Settings, you have the following options:
Do you wish to view members signatures when reading topics?
Do you wish to view images in posts, such as smilies and posted images?
Do you wish to view members avatars when reading topics?
Do you wish to get a board notification when you get a new personal message?
Number of posts to show for each topic page?
Number of topics to show for each forum page?
