He must be thinking to himself, "It was so easy for me to get Kevin Garnett, I don't get why I can't bring in other All-Stars."

Granted Dumars has made a few mistakes - like drafting Darko -he is a pretty good GM. No way you are going to get him to make an obvious one like this.

Well remember that the Pistons traded Chanuncey for AI....so I can see why the Celts thought Detroit could be pretty naive.
true but "at the time" the pistons needed a consistent scorer and happend to be able to grab on eof the most explosive scorers in nba history ..... too bad he was falling out of his prime and didnt fit on the pistons
Go Lakeshow!!!

According to a league source, the Pistons turned down a trade offer that would have had them receiving Carlos Boozer from the Jazz for Tayshaun Prince. While the Pistons have long coveted Boozer, they recently signed free agent forward Charlie Villanueva, drafted forwards Austin Daye and DaJuan Summers, and have strong feelings for Prince.

I guess I can see why...they wouldn't have a true SF then and where would Charlie V go...unless he plays C which would be horrible.
Charlie V can easily play SF, he has the shot, the speed, and athleticism to do it. With Boozer they would jump into the 4th seed in the east IMO.

The line-up will look like this,
PG - Stuckey
SG - Gordon
SF - Hamilton
PF - Villanueva
C - Boozer

I would agree on this trade if i were the pistons, i will put rip on the sf position.
The line-up will look like this,
PG - Stuckey
SG - Gordon
SF - Hamilton
PF - Villanueva
C - Boozer
Boozer is too small to play C, especially in the West.

no, boozer is a tough, extremely talented and a very physical player and there are only few good centers in the west (bynum, nene, yao, al jefferson) and even though boozer is only 6'9 i believe he can take them all.but West teams are going to murder them
