agreed...the Suns window has closed...same with SA and Dallas...

Lakers, Houston and New Orleans are the big 3 right now IMO...they are younger, more talented and have had more off-season success...SA,Dallas and Suns didn't do anything yet. Even Utah might be better right now.

I would laugh if Phoenix and LA are in the WCF.

good stuff man

I wouldn't be too surprised if the Suns don't make the playoffs

But they're not even remotely close to a championship contender

i agree that were overly better than they are but i cant guarantee a sweep cuz weve lost to many a bottom feeder before, and we play them 4 times a year

Not gonna happen. There's more chance of them being the 8 to our 1 seed.

The Suns will be a very good team but not the fast, free wheeling, high scoring squads of seasons past. The slow down tempo defense first philosophy that Kerr and Porter are trying to sell just does not fit the current personnel. Most of them just cannot play that way. I have no doubt they'll make the playoffs and they will be competitive during the season.

Who cares, Suns fans said Shaq made them title contenders and they were better than us.

Steve Kerr ruined that team. Why would you trade Shawn Marion + Marcus Banks for Shaq? And I'm not just saying this after seeing results of this trade because this trade always looked bad(for the suns) before they made the trade but the slick pat riley pulled it off.
imo they didnt even need to give away marion for shaq they could of put together something with diaw/banks or barbosa/+ expiring contract but i guess that separates  from steve kerr.

Also LMAO at Shaq saying "when I'm upset, I'm known to do certain things like win championships."

and Charles was actually right on this one. i guess he isnt so :D after all.

Amare Stoudamire is going to have a career year IMO, but the Suns will miraculously make the playoffs as eighth seeded and get swept by a powerhouse (Lakers, Rockets, Hornets) in the first round.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

I'm far from being a Suns fan, but you're going to have to back up your "Fisher wins the match up" claim a bit better than that.

loved the rest of the article though

I wonder what the Suns do during their off season. Besides Steve Nash making funny videos with Baron Davis, Stoudemire playing in the Olympics (well not anymore) and Shaq making rap songs and losing his police badge, I wonder what the rest of them do.

Only thing I don't agree with is Fisher winning the overall matchup against Nash.

Other than that, this was a good read. Props!
