Spero Dedes is the play-by-play for the Laker radio on am570. He has a lot of information about some Lakers this summer. But HE Actually talks about Sasha's crazy OFFSEASON...saying that he has WORK so hard this summer that his trainers and advisors are telling him to not burn himself before the season starts...

But My true feeling is Kobe has been talking to Sasha and telling him to be a great player in the NBA you have to put a lot of time during the offseason.....I have a great feeling we are going to see Sasha better and stronger this season...

here is the site of the interview...click on Spero Dedes

If Spero said the world was going to end tomorrow, I'd believe him.

I think he's shooting for starter minutes. He wants to be the first guy off the bench at 3 positions (for sf Kobe moves up to the 3). 6 man rotation in the playoffs!

Don't get me wrong...I like Sasha. He's one of those guys that adds life and dimension to your team's personality.

But the Sasha-hype has gone WAY overboard.

He's a good shooter and pesky defender but that's about it. If he's not shooting the ball, he's useless. Good thing he hasn't met a shot he didn't like (that's a good thing, shooting 43% from 3).

Just don't get your hopes up for much more.

If Sasha comes in and avgs 10ppg, 40+% 3fga/ 50+% fga, we'll be ok.

If Vujacic ever rounds his game to being able to drive and score or dish...he'd be actually more dangerous than he is now. He's already got his "shot fake" down pat to begin with. :bounces:
