I think Live 07 was the worst bball game I've ever played. Worst sports game ever maybe. At least that's how I felt.

I hope to try out both Live/2K this year. Been a 2K man these days but I'm no fanboy.

I couldn't differentiate as it's my only option on the PC. That's the last game I played of Live on the PC, where I could use the legends on the current teams.

I think it was well before that. As far as I remember Live 2001 for the PS1 was like the last good one. Then when it jumped to PS2 it had some BAD years making the transition, I think it was Live 2002 or 2003 that was the absolute worst ever. Whenever they added the stick control dribbling moves it got decent again, I believe it was 2004, whenever Jason Kidd was on the cover. It was still way too arcadey and there was no defense at all, but it was fun again.

Yeah like I said, I did not have a choice, no console until 2007 and thus it's my only option on the PC.

Live 10 looks like the best live ever, I used to only play 2k from 2k-2k3 then I switched to live from 04-06 then only 2k7 and since 08 ive had both live and 2k last year I thought 2k was better but its gameplay is getting stale for me I played the draft combine and didnt like it. Im gonna get both games but I think Im gonna like live more this year.

I just played the demo for live and it's still really bad. The shot animations and player models are horrible.

As expected. It's probably still mostly dunks as well, the game is way too easy and quick, it doesn't play like the real NBA, unless every team in the NBA were the 2006 Suns.

Live vs. 2K

Let's see a picture from the actual game play for 2k10, though. It looks like Live's is from the game, while 2k10's screenshot is another one of those promotional images.

I'm sure 2k10 still looks better, though.

2K's look more authentic, but I'm not sure if the Live's from the demo, where the demo is really a very much stripped down version of the game...so I wouldn't take the graphics or something greatly. AB doesn't look like AB AT ALL.

But Live's atmosphere will kill. 3pt score SFX in Staples - Check. REALLY VIVID crowd animations - Check.

Demo is really bad. But don't take away from the actual game. It was mentioned the demo is WAY EARLY in production and that the actual game will not be in this context.

The importance of the demo is to familiarize oneself with the new moves...they are hard to master, at least for me.

Why go for graphics in deciding on a game? There's lots that 2K can improve on on the graphics, players faces are not the only one though. What would happen if it's the other way round?

well anyway, a lot of people are saying its a fun game, but its hard to get down the controls right away, i bet its awesome once you have everything down naturally
