-seems like just a processor and graphic upgrade.
-and voice control, but no mic (must buy separately
-no camera
-8GB $199; 32GB $299; 64GB $399
iPod nano
-camera
-fm tuner
-mic and speaker
-battery: 24 hour playback for audio, 5 hours for video
-8GB $149; 16GB $179
iTunes 9
iPhone OS 3.1
Kind of lackluster IMO. The new nano is cool, but other than that, no exciting news really.

but IMO the underlying reason for the price drop was to underhand the new upcoming music player from microsoft...

It was the music event. Strictly music related. They'll probably show the Tablet next or the following around summer time...

quick question though, so they release OS 3.1.1 for ipod touch and iPhone today..
a friend of mine bought his ipod touch a week ago and the ipod still had 2.1.1 OS running in it.
can he just go to apple and show him he just bought the ipod recently and have them update it for free? or does he have to buy the $4.95 update?

is the free shipping just for today?
If I remember right, anything like over 100 or something is always free... If you buy accessories and stuff, I think you have to pay.

Thinking about returning my nano that I bought a few weeks back. I do have 90 days to do it, might take advantage of that.

my friend bought it from his local apple store.. I have it right now cause hes been having problems with it.. and its saying its under 2.2.1 OS
and when I try to update it to the new 3.0.1 OS it wants me to buy it.
