RECAP:

He's been training with a good doctor.. he knows what exercises he's supposed to be doing.. he feels confident with him..

he's obviously been in atlanta training like last year.. a way to get away.. focus.. & get back to what he needs to be doing..

as far as the surgery.. had healthy relationship with doctor.. that's why he was in new york for so long..

VTB: Do you feel you have same explosiveness?

AB: I feel i have more.. after surgery.. it's made it stronger than it was before.. i'm able to lift more weight.. run faster.. prepare myself down.. get my body ready for the season..

"Hater" Hartman: How do you feel when laker fans say wait till we get bynum back, he'll be the difference, are you ready for the challenge?

AB: Most definitely.. when i was hurt.. i was able to sit back and see what we were missing & needed.. but more than anything on the defensive end than anything.. is be a presence on the defensive end.. cuz i know we gave up a lot of wide open layups.. i'll block shots.. grab rebounds.. alter shots.. and it should help us a lot..

VTB: In atl you were playing way above the rim huh?

AB: yeah.. i definitely don't feel any loss of explosionviness.. we do one leg exercises everyday..

VTB:9 % body fat andrew you're getting lean and mean?

AB: yeah that's right..

"Hater" Hartman: Are you confident you'll be able to go in start of training camp and full season?

AB: most definitely.. i'm ready now.. i think i'm one of the guys that wants the game to start tomorrow..

VTB: Have you gotten past the hurdle of the first major injury?

AB: i definitely believe 100% my knee is A okay.. no swelling no hurt.. no ice.. i'm doing more than fine.. perfect..

"Hater" Hartman: Andrew how excited are you about possibilty of you pau, lo...?

AB: i just can't wait to play with them. honestly.. i'm just excited.. i wanna get out there and play..
offensievely we both pass well... we'll help each other on offensive rebounds.. defensively.. we''ll have twin tower effect.. alter shots. block shots..

VTB & "Hater" Hartman: what's goin on with andrew.. laker fans have been wondering.. you gotta keep us updated.. we are just as anxious as you are, if not definitely more..
'
so you'll be ready full steam by training camp?

AB:definitely.. the knee is 100%, no ice.. he's at 9% body fat.. wants to get to 8%

basically, he's 100%
he's ready to go.
he's gained an inch on his vertical.
his explosiveness is the same or better.

good stuff coming from Andrew, but at the same time, we all remember what he said the night of the injur.

difference is he is actually showing results not just talking about what he thinks he can do. he's actually doing it.

Recap by emplay.

I just left the press conference

quick thoughts:

Favorite game while down was Halo

He's 100%

285 9% body fat - wants to get down to 8% - but happy

better numbers on the track than last year - squatting more etc

said he could bend the knee more - and with less pain IMMEDIATELY after surgery even while still swollen from just getting cut

no swelling now - no ice - ready to go

hasn't played 5 on 5 - but is cleared - just waiting for the guys to get back into town

will start working out with Rambis on Monday - with Cap when the season gets closer

understands that it's all about what he can add defensively - he saw what was missing while on the sidelines and knows where he can contribute to put the team over the top

wants a contract by the start of the season but will leave that to his agent - he'll still be working hard every day regardless of what happens - that's his focus - but it'd be nice to have the contract out of the way

very true.
i just know from past interviews and whatnot, Andrew does tend to tell the fans what they want to hear.
this should be money though.

LAL818 your picture represents the golden days of the Lakers, just thought I'd share that with you. Love that picture.

I'm excited to see Bynum getting back into the swing, but I'm going to reserve too much excitement and wait to see him play for fear of getting hopes up too high.
