The writers need to tackle the issue of Deb finding out right away in Season 7. This event should destroy Deb's world. Hopefully they don't let Dexter explain it away and have Deb just ignore it. They need to figure out what to do with Deb and Dex in a way that changes the entire dynamic of the show at this point.

Short term solution I see Dexter making his case for Deb to keep his secret( Dexter thinks he's doing something good makes her believe that, Harrison too) I don't see that lasting long especially if Dexter doesn't fess up to his entire past(which he won't). Deb is gonna lose it.

I see a few scenarios...
I could see Deb thinking she can "cure" Dex or taking him to see her shrink.

Honestly, I loved the finale because there are so many new directions they can take the show in now. I have no idea what they'll actually end up doing. If I had to guess, here is a completely random prediction:

Deb runs out of the church in shock. Dex manipulates the crime scene to look like a suicide so that Miami Metro can officially "solve" the case to help Deb's clearance rate. Dex will call Deb over to his apartment so they can talk things through. He'll try to explain his way out of it, but Deb will find the Ice Truck Killer hand and notice the inconsistencies in Dex's story. When she calls him out on it, Dexter will finally confess pretty much everything to her. Deb won't approve, but she won't turn him in or anything like that. She'll be depressed/shocked/mad for the first few episodes, but eventually she'll give Dexter a chance to explain himself a bit more. Eventually, I feel like they'll come to some sort of mutual understanding where Deb will sort of turn a blind eye as long as Dexter continues to follow the code (as in, he only kills other killers and there's no way any of it could come back to either of them). Then at the end of Season 7, something will happen to incriminate Dexter. Miami Metro will be forced to hunt down Dexter and this will set up a final Season 8 where Deb will have to make some difficult decisions.

But I feel like no matter what happens with the Deb-Dex situation (my prediction could end up being completely wrong), they'll probably introduce another "Big Bad". While a huge focus of the season will be on Dexter's relationship with Deb, he'll probably have some villain to try to kill in the midst of everything. I also think Louis, the intern, will play a large role next season. He'll either be a copycat killer that needs to be put down by Dexter OR Dexter might try to train him into being a "sidekick".

^ Haha. DVD first, then blu-ray. BOTH. Got all from a sibling as a birthday present on DVD, then a few days later, saw my cousin and he had a gift for me (not knowing what my sibling had already gotten' me), which was the same, but in blu-ray instead, lol.
