Sounds like you're three episodes behind.

This season has been great. It's been some of Jennifer Carpenter's best work on the show.

Nope. not behind. The acting is fine. The story I think isn't good.

^ What are YOUR thoughts on the potential spin-off? Approve or disapprove?

No not as bad as that. I'm disappointed. I dig Ray Donavan. Do we have a thread for that?

im against a spin-off as well, i think you just gotta let things go, i hate series that linger on for too long

dexter has had a great run, i hope this is the last seaosn, and i hope they end it right

^ Well I wouldn't mind. No other serial killer type show out there besides "Bates Motel" & "Hannibal" that I know of, which are both on lesser networks with more restrictions thus handicapping them in some ways to the full potential of the subject matter.

Oh good.

I don't think so. Make it.

The reason I thouht you were behind is because you were saying Vogel's husband is the "brain surgeon" killer.  They aready finished that mini story this season.

It is the last season of Dexter and it is getting a spinoff.

If you don't approve, then don't watch it.

Easily solved.  When a show makes as much money as Dexter has made for Showtime, it's not some giant surprise that they want to spin it off and keep it going longer.

That was better. It's either vogel's husband or Cassie's boyfriend. I'm leaning towards the latter. Better episode, it kept my interest. Zack going down was a nice swerve.

I think Cassie's boyfriend might be Vogel's son.

I've heard people say that. Has she ever said she had a son? Some think Matthews is the brain surgeon killer.

It's not often I say this, but I honestly wasn't much a fan of this past episode. Way too slow for my liking & too much irrelevant not even entertaining dialogue.

I will say I was very surprised ZH was killed. Definitely did not see that coming.

Hannah might not have gone to Argentina, but I predict she may very well go to Belize.

^ Seriously. My thoughts as well. Incredibly disappointing. I guess Dexter must have a rather large Female audience (much larger than I thought at least).

I've been through season 5 and I can honestly say that Deborah Morgan is the most despicable tv personalities I have ever watched. She is just so selfish, everything starts and ends with her, no in between. I just can't stand the type of person she is.

Be besides that, the series has been great lol.

Lets be honest here. This season has been all over the place. Beginning started out with a bang in my opinion and continued to be pretty solid for at least a few episodes, but lately for a while now, the pace has just been so slow. So many insignificant moments and granted if this weren't the last season, I could give a few more passes perhaps, but this is the last damn season we're talking about. This is unacceptable. The show & fans deserve better. I will still watch, but I don't have my hopes that hight honestly at this point. I hope I'm wrong, but there's not much there that leads me to believe otherwise.

All over the place?

Um, I think you may have been expecting something else, or you've gotten used to vapid action shows that don't delve into character.  I don't know for sure.  Just sounds like you're used to watching different types of shows.

Clearly, what's been done is to put a lot of pieces in place to create chaos at the end of it all.  What you see as insignificant or all over the place, have all led to a plot point or character exposition.  Maybe you were expecting some kind of action oriented season to end it all , but if you've watched the show you know that it isn't based all on action.  it's a character driven show written with nuance and subtlety set against a gruesome backdrop.

This season has been some of the best acting and direction the show has produced yet.

I think the Saxon reveal took a little too long. Now started it should escalate and end nicely. Previews looked intense.

Season IMO hasn't been the greatest to this point. I can see reasons why the writers have gone this route (to wrap things up).

Dexter has to die and die an awesome death.
