Wow wasn't expecting that.

"Love me or hate me it's one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, hate my swagger, hate my fade-away, my hunger, hate that i'm a veteran, A champion, hate that. Hate it with all your heart, and hate that i'm loved for the exact same reasons." - Kobe

One episode and I'm already in love with the season.
Bittersweet to see it wrapped up, but its time.

In case anyone missed the premiere, Showtime uploaded the full episode to Youtube:

Dexter is getting played by Vogel.
She's pitting him against other serial killers she created to see who comes out ahead. Wonderful evil character played absolutely brilliantly so far. This show continues to excel.

^ This most recent episode was also said to have been directed by Michael C. Hall. His first to my understanding. He talks about it here recently on Kimmel at 0:41:
I wonder where Harrison was that last episode though, lol. He was never seen with Aimee nor Dexter.

I get this weird feeling that Dexter is going to be taken out by Zach Hamilton and his own "code". Maybe Hannah is Zach's first "coached" kill.
The showrunner for Dexter just signed a new three year deal which all but guarantees a spinoff from the show. I wouldn't be surprised if that spinoff is Zach Hamilton being coached and sent on assignments by Vogel.

It really depends what spinoff they do.
Traditionally spinoffs are a dicey game. They either work well or are absolute flops. If they go with the Zach Hamilton / Vogel kind of angle and have him expand the world a bit, getting out and traveling the country with his photography obesession, checking in with Vogel via internet or phone - I could go for that.

Sounds like you're three episodes behind.
This season has been great. It's been some of Jennifer Carpenter's best work on the show.

^ I absolutely loved last night's episode from beginning to end for the most part. Easily one of the best of the season so far in my opinion. Probably gonna' watch it again later.
I actually kinda enjoy Masuka's storyline and the fact that he would go to a sperm donor in his young days & do what he did is totally believable from his character.

But the good thing ab out the whole Masuka storyline is that it's redeeming his otherwise shallow and drifting character. This season is humanizing everyone and the acting is right in line with what's intended. It's not some action oriented season, but the humanity and character work coming out of this season is some of the best the show has ever done.
