This season has just nailed every episode.

I have no idea where they're going with this.

yep, this show always seems leaves enough of its options open to make speculation almost pointless...and whatever they come up with is usually executed to perfection. can't wait for the finale

I'm glad they are wrapping this next year.

This could've been the series finale. Felt everything run full circle.

Where do they go from here?

I thought the finale sucked. LaGuerta should have ended up on Dexter's table and I was extremely disappointed that it didn't happen. I felt her character deserved a better ending really.

For me the season started out great and then faded. I started losing interest as the season went on and that's the first time that's happened.

So you wanted the same thing to happen yet again on the show? Dexter finishes the season by killing someone on the table. Yeah, this show is better than that. If you're looking for easy endings look everywhere else on television. This ending fell right in line to the entire motif of the season.

I thought it was brilliant to turn the tables. All season long Dexter has questioned whether he is who he is or not. Hence the entire episode about Hannah ripping him for the "Dark Passenger" bit. It's a perfect ending that Dexter hesitated. All year long he hedged on whether he was doing the right thing at the right time.

And Deb did too.

Now they both made a huge mistake and have to find a way to get out of it, suffer from it, or go on the run from it together. And Deb's reaction to shooting her, running over to her like that, incredibly genuine and totally heartfelt. Jennifer Carpenter was excellent this season too.

Perfect ending, to a great season.

Far from a perfect ending for me. There was never that moment that Dexter normally gets with his victims when they're on his table. LaGuerta just died without any sort of conversation with Dexter on why he's done what he's done. Her character deserved a better send off given she has been there for seven seasons.

And I agree about Jennifer Carpenter. She really deserves some recognition for her work this season.

Carpenter was amazing indeed this season and she didn't look bad in that dress in the finale either imo.

They've had the "Early Cuts' thing online for a while now. I have them here, fun to watch. They don't add much to the whole thing, more just filler stuff, but fun.

Very happy its coming back earlier this time.

Rumor has it now that the producers will not confirm if this is the last season. They said they have an "endgame in place", but gave no confirmation as to when it will take place. Due to the huge ratings last season got, some in the industry are saying they might extend it to 9 seasons now.
