hmm.
Here's what I'm thinking.
Maria's looking to clear Doakes. So next year the FBI re-opens the bay harbor butcher case. Maria finds something linking dexter this season. Maria ends up on the kill table OR dexter makes it look accidental. Deb promoted to captain. That would set up a very nice final season.

Yep, the producers of the show confirmed this summer that next season, season 8 will be it.

That could happen too WhatUSaid. They've opened up a lot of possibilities here. LaGuerta dies in the first book, so I'm surprised they've kept her around this long already.

Love this show.

I know!! haha, I seriously thought Louis was going play a major role in the future episodes or something crazy was going to come out of it and they just got rid of him like that..smh

great episode. I like how dexters new nemesis is going to be that mob boss guy. I am kinda glad they killed off the one guy. The devil horse what ever dude was freaky. That [expletive] was stupid going over there. I mean what guy has a plastic cover on his couch lol

YES smh, I never said I liked his character, but they developed his character to the point where I thought he was going to play a major role in the later episodes. The whole thing about him getting the "hand" and the amount of attention put on his eerie toy collecting game making life and relationship with Dexter's babysitter, trying to get Dexter's attention all the time because maybe he is a serial killer himself looking for the approval of his idol, one could simply come to the conclusion that he would play a significant role in the show. Nope they just killed him off like that, I suspect the writers decided to go another route, because all that wasn't for nothing unless they like trolling their viewers.

I didn't like his character, I found him annoying, but I was hoping that something crazy would come out of it, its cool though.

that lil weasel would of used his geek skills to screw Dex over like he did to his old business partner.

Would of made the season pretty unbearable keeping that guy around for too long.

Yea they highlighted te blood splattering on the boat so maybe thats hw they get him. Would be funny if thats how dexter goes down. For a murder he didnt even do.

I assume it isn't over because Louis said dexters setting him up. Told the sitter. Maybe she's questioned and remembers what he said. Search dexters boat and see the blood traces.

I hope this doesn't happen BTW.

I'm sure that wasn't just slang for get rid of the body, because what good is getting rid of a body if
there is still evidence at the crime scene to link you to a murder?

They didn't kill off Ray Speltzer (the helmeted guy). He got away, they made that plain and clear.

I'm glad they didn't, good to see a brutally tough nemesis aside from the main prey once in a while.

Another quality episode for me. My favorite part was when Dexter was taunting Speltzer back shouting and yelling at him haha. That was pure gold.
