I just started college a week ago, and one of my first assignments was to make a dating profile and basically describe yourself. Since I love sports, I had a little section about it, and I said how Kobe is my favorite athlete.

So anyway, my professor read each of ours out loud and we had to guess who's it was, and as he was reading mine, when he got to the sentence that said how Kobe was my favorite athlete, he read it with a tone of disgust in his voice, and after reading that part, he was like "this is a D, don't have to read anymore". He was obviously kidding but when he was finished I was like you don't like Kobe? And he flat out said no.

I'm not surprised, but I just find it amazing how many people truly don't like the guy. I mean you would think he's killed someone.

My history teacher last year didn't like Kobe either but at least he was a pretty cool guy. He's actually one of my favorite teachers at the school and we always talk about stuff including basketball. He's one of the few that likes the Lakers but doesn't like Kobe.

Yeah, my teacher likes basketball too he's a Knicks fan, and apparently he doesn't like him, not many people do here. It's been better though.

I don't have teachers that hate Kobe, but I do have some classmates that do. I remember when Kobe had back issues in the Jazz series, people in my Chemistry class last year were totally bagging on him about it. They get so happy when Kobe messes up and loses. Geeeeez

Yeh, it gets kind of annoying too. Like more than half the people saying these things don't even watch basketball in general and it makes me mad how they just go by the news or whatever they hear around.

it can go on for days, people always go back to 04 like it was last week. you can prob find a kobe hater now and say he won the gold medal and the answer will be, but he raped someone.

Well you're in NY for one, you can't expect everyone to love Kobe no matter where they are. Knicks fans hated MJ, they hate Kobe, he kills em too often.

But yea it either goes back to the rape trial or Shaq. My dad was a Shaq fan and for a long time hated Kobe for everything.

They always have to hate on something about Kobe, you can hear things like "His team suck" which they said before this past year or "He's a rapist" just stupid, ignorant comments. I learn to deal with them, and just fire back at their team. That teacher just might be tired of rooting for a irrelevant team for at least the past half decade.

I post at a Denver Broncos Forum and I get hater after hater of Kobe Bryant. PM's, attacks in general threads and so forth about Kobe. I've given evidence as to why Kobe is innocent, and they just respond, "He rapes". It IS fustrating. I think a combination of things makes people not like Kobe.

1). He threatens Jordan's crown.
2). 04 incident.
3). People think he drove Shaq out of LA.
4). Because of all of the above, the media makes him out as a BAD guy.

It is annoying though.

I know I can't expect everyone to love the guy, but before he read it, I was expecting a negative response to it and I got one.
