Oprah to Host Olympians
29-Aug-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril
Included in that list will be Michael Phelps, Misty May-Treanor and Kerry Walsh.
On Wednesday, Michael Phelps and over 150 Olympians will join Oprah Winfrey to tape a special at Chicago's Millennium Park, according to the Associated Press.
Also joining Oprah will be Olympic gold medalists Nastia Lukin, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade (who's originally from Chicago), Lisa Leslie and 41-year-old silver medal swimmer Dara Torres.
In addition to Phelps (who will also appear Sept. 8 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno), Winfrey's show will host Olympic volleyball teammates Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, who appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman this past Tuesday.
Oprah's Olympic show, which will air on her syndicated show Sept. 8 to kick off her new season, is not only a sort of delayed "welcome home" party for the Olympians.
Winfrey's show will also shine a light on the lakefront beauty of Chicago, which is currently considered the frontrunner to host the 2016 Olympic Games.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed
