WTF! Bethesda! Once you beat the main story, you can't go back into that adventure. How gay.

i havnt even started main quest 6 hours of sidequest/exploring. and u need to play it 3 times to get all achievements. so maybe its good that it ends idk? lol

EDIT: the fallout fanboys say that its supose to end so idk.

Yeah the problem is they have so many endings, but the endings all mean you STOP playing. so be warned. save often. I have at least 5 saves at different levels and quests.

i have lots of places to go to but haven't done, many quests i skipped over and didnt do. I was good in the game, so now im going to do a play though being pure evil.

Just saying: http://forum.beyond3...933#post1235933

I spent some time comparing PS3 & 360 version of Fallout 3, and the findings are rather interesting.

Theses are some of the shots I took with digital camera, the actual difference is even bigger. All shots are taken at the exact same time period.

http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO1360.jpg
http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO1PS3.jpg

metal parts are glossy on the PS3, it's completely flat on the 360

http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO2360.jpg
http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO2PS3.jpg

this one's the much talked 'access panel', unlike what people have suspected, the base textrue is identical. only difference is that the PS3 version's got normal map, the 360 got none looking totally flat.

http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO3360.jpg
http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO3PS3.jpg

the ps3 version of roaches look just beautiful with detailed normal map, 360 version is just flat textured. the giant ants & scorpions are similar, the ps3 version being realistic with high-res normal map.

http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO4360.jpg
http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO4PS3.jpg

even rocks are different. the 360 version's got normal map, but it's in much lower res. it's just more detailed and sharp on the ps3

http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO5360.jpg
http://www3.telus.ne...hwag/FO5PS3.jpg

the last but not least. the 360 version look terrible with flat low res texture, where the ps3 version is just beautiful blonde hair with so much detail.

Could this be the first multi platform game ever to have better textures on the ps3 version?

It seems like trade off for 4 x AA is rather severe.

As for the frame rate, the 360 is rock solid 30 fps. The PS3 is good at 30, but it just slightly stutters.

When things get heavy, you get screen tearing for the 360 version, where the PS3 remains V-locked with drop in frame rate.

After all, the PS3 version wasn't just another inferior port.

It's just AA vs Better Texture or Screen Tearing vs Frame drop

Each system had to make compromises, probably based on their strength and weakness.

This could very well be a game that's truly handled by 2 seperate teams!! The BS we hear so often as a part of PR

:hysterical:

I probably won't pick this up for a while, but it's definitely on the list.

part 1 and 2 are pretty much like part 3. you are in a vault and you get out, you discover the truth behind what the vaults really are....which is not a spoiler so im going to say it, the vaults are a social experiment. vault 12 i believe was the original fallout and that vault was supposed to stay open no matter what even when the bombs droped. But the vault closed anyway, so then you got out to find a water filter and it lead to another bunch of stories.

i think there are 5 other vaults in fallout 3 you can explore, each is more freaky then the last.

I still havnt explored it all.....but i have a pic to help any explores out.

Editor to be Available in December;
Downloadable Content coming for January, February, and March

November 25, 2008 (ROCKVILLE, MD) €“ Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced plans to make both its editor and downloadable content available for its award-winning game, Fallout® 3 in the coming weeks. The official editor for Fallout 3, called the G.E.C.K. (Garden of Eden Creation Kit), will be available for free download in December and will allow Games for Windows® users to create and add their own content to the game.

“We’ve always seen the original world of Fallout 3 as a foundation for even more content. Some created by us, and a lot more created by users,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s fun to create your own character, but it can be equally fun to create your own adventures. We can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.”

The release of the G.E.C.K. provides the community with tools that will allow players to expand the game any way they wish. Users can create, modify, and edit any data for use with Fallout 3, from building landscapes, towns, and locations to writing dialogue, creating characters, weapons, creatures, and more.

Three downloadable content packs will be coming to Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live starting in January that will add new quests, items, and content to Fallout 3.
Operation: Anchorage. Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders. An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.
The Pitt. Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side. Scheduled for release in February.
Broken Steel. Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.

also the official dlc is windows/360 exclusive for those wondering if its comin to the ps3 version
