I touched on this on LG.
- Tendonitis not a big deal.
- Article made it seem like one knee may have needed further diagnostic studies.
- No physician is going to cut on a knee with a history of tendonitis without extenuating circumstances (and/or trying everything else first) and if it gets that bad, it's no longer tendonitis.
- Just like Andrew, if it's prolonged pain that isn't alleviated by rest, get more studies...if it continues, a quick scope is prudent. Unlike Andrew, LO is not young enough that prolonged pain from tendonitis would be un-common.
Either way, stay on top of it. Preferably, come out of the offseason 100% or with everything as a KNOWN.
That's all for now...and no, tendonitis isn't (normally) career ending...career ALTERING/diminishing? yes.
And this report HURTS LO's chances at another big payday IF he can't prove that his SELF PRESCRIBED (based on the report) regimen of rest and relaxation worked. If he has extended problems (more than a few games missed) during the regular season, he will lower his trade and resign stock that much more.
Doubt LO's camp put this out. If they did, wow...not smart (especially since they didn't say if he did everything he could to make sure it is resolved).
