"Onstage at the Pitchfork Music Festival last weekend, New York indie pop rookies the Pains of Being Pure at Heart looked and sounded way tighter and more confident than their relative lack of big-stage experience would lead you to expect. And ever since they released their self-titled sun-ray of a debut full-length earlier this year, Pains have done plenty to let us know they aren't a one-album wonder. They've toured hard and released maybe their best song to date, "Ramona", as a B-side.
In September, the Pains will extend their hot streak even further when they release another single and a new EP within two weeks of each other. On September 8, they'll release the album track "Come Saturday" as a single, with new song "Side Ponytail" serving as the B-side. And on September 22, they'll drop their Higher Than the Stars EP, four more brand new songs. Both the single and the EP will be on Slumberland. The cover art to Higher Than the Stars is above."

"The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences,
and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon,
for each day to have a new and different sun."
