Okay Laker Nation, here's a QUESTION 4 U,

Which LAKER team was, or will be, the greatest Laker team of all time?

1) 1971 team with Wilt Chamberlain & Jerry West & Gail Goodrich which had 33 straight wins and a record season? And won the Championship.

2) The 1985 team that got the celtic monkey off our backs. Kareem-Magic-Worthy & company. And won the Championship.

3) The 1987 1988 back to back "Showtime Team" which finally destroyed the celtics and then repeated against the extremely tough "Bad Boys" of Detroit. Kareem-Magic-Worthy & company. And won two Championships.

4) The 200 to 2003 3-peat team with Shaq & Kobe & company? And won three Championships.

5) or will it be, the Kobe-Gasol-Byrum-Odom/Artest team? So far, won one Championship.

6) or, did I forget to mention one of the others that you'd feel might have been better than the ones listed?

I'd like to hear your comments;

Just thought I'd throw this one out there.

Out of all the LAKER TEAMS: I think the 1987 team was the greatest of all time. I remember we used to beat teams by 20 & 30 points that year. And one game we came back after by being down 22 points in the 4th quarter to beat a very good Seattle Supersonics team on the road. This team beat an extremely tough Larry Bird, K. McHale. R. Parrish, D. Johnson, B. Walton team in six games for the title. (6 games! not 7)

The Chicago bulls never faced any competition like that in their run of titles!

KEY FACTS
Regular-season record: 65-17
Postseason record: 15-3
Avg. scoring margin: +9.3
Avg. scoring margin, playoffs: +11.4
Finals result: Beat Boston, 4-2 LEADERS (regular-season stats)
Scoring: Magic Johnson, 23.9 ppg
Rebounds: A.C. Green, 7.9 rpg
Assists: Magic Johnson, 12.4 apg
Coach: Pat Riley
Finals MVP: Magic Johnson

This LAKER team is listed as 2nd to the so-called greatest team the '96 bulls.

But we all know "if" the the 1996 bulls had to play this 1987 LAKER team they would have seen that we were the greatest team ever. We had Kareem -The GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME- & Magic & Worthy & Scott & Green & Cooper & Rambis & Thompson & etc.

"SHOWTIME BABY" and that's NO BULL!
