Does anyone know where I can get a good portable external for fairly cheap? Does anyone have one for sale?
I'm leaning towards an iomega... My cousin has one and it's great, fast, and looks cool.

Please help me out!

They're always on sale at Best Buy. I got mine there for $40 or so.

x2 on Newegg. Depending on where you are, you can even pick your ish up over in Industry.

If nothing else, do some research on there. Usually if there are more than 40-50 votes, and something has a good rating you can count on it being good.

Please do not buy a normal external hard drive.

Buy a regular durable hard drive and buy an external enclosure.

Much more reliable.

External Hardrives do and will fail on you.

Yeah, I was looking at that. If I get an enclosure and a new HDD, I might as well format that new HDD and copy all my info on it and put it in my Mac and use this 160 in the enclosure...

2.5" - Do not need external power supply
3.5" - Needs external power supply

for a lot of hardware, amazon has about the same prize as newegg, but there's no sales tax if you're in california unlike newegg...

you can also usually get free shipping if you purchase the item from amazon...

whatever you do though, buy it online

Yeah, I always buy Amazon and I got a WD 500 GB.... They're the best out there, from what I hear so I put in the extra 20 bucks to get it.
