Stoudemire seems more than happy to pass off some or all of the blame for his team's mediocre defense, however, to the departed coaching staff of Mike D'Antoni.
He was asked about his new coach.
"I love Terry Porter," Stoudemire says to the camera. "His method. His way of coaching is going to be great for us. You know, he's extremely focused on the defensive end, something that we haven't practiced at all in the previous three years, and now we're definitely practicing and improving on the defensive end."
Aura hasn't practiced defense in 3 years

came up with that all on your ownI don't think he meant that he individually didn't practice defense. I think it was more of a shot at D'antoni.

He was responding to the title of the thread, it's a bit misleading.

Suns All-Star Amaré Stoudemire fired his managers last week, saying he should be more marketable as a dynamic three-time All-Star and All-NBA first-team player.
This is the fourth representation team Stoudemire has had in his six-year career. He received the richest big-man endorsement deal in Nike history and counts PowerAde as a major sponsorship, too, but he let go managers Rodney Rice and Michael Hodges.
"I felt like, from a marketing standpoint, I wasn't reaching my full potential," Stoudemire said. "It's a great opportunity for me to move forward. With my personality and aura and swagger, I've got a great chance to be marketed. It was definitely hard because I had established a friendship with these guys but a lot of companies like me and adore me."

Aura was sure NOT complaining about mike's no-D policy for 3 years... why complain now?
Thank you. He apparently had no problem with it for three years and now he suddenly comes out with this clearly to take a shot at D'Antoni.
