game is a toss-up imo. I'm not sold on ATL in the playoffs and Seattle plays tough football

Whoa whoa whoa...Gore > Lynch

Wilson didn't "run all over" the falcons but he passed for nearly 400 and outplayed Matty Ice

Last season, ATL was 17th in rushing yds per game; this season, ATL was 29th.

ATL's rush defense isn't all that great

Lynch>Gore any day.
And Wilson didnt out play [expletive]. We went into a soft zone in a blow out game like we always do, but made some mental mistakes. most notably forgeting about Zack Miller every play. but thats what happens when you have to spy the QB to keep him from running.
And if Ryan has 400 yards and our backs have 46 yards on the ground people say we have no running game.
When Wilson does it its because he "out played Ryan"...LMAO.
And wernt you the one who said all the crap above?

For my first quote:

The game was a toss-up was it not? You had a 20 pt lead (at home) and the game was won by a FG with 8 seconds left, right?

Hard to believe in a team that has come up short in the playoffs in the past.

And come on now, Marshawn Lynch is not a better RB than Frank Gore. 1000+ yards 4 outta 6 seasons...dude has been a stud since he came into the league.

Wilson: 24/36 (67%) 385 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT
Ryan: 24/35 (69%) 250 yards 3 TDs and 2 INTs

Both had solid games but you can't let the "new guy" do that to you

I would expect the running game to be better with the backs ATL has but it's tough finding balance when you have weapons like White, Jones, and Gonzalez

I didn't say Wilson is a better QB than Matt Ryan (he's not) but he outplayed him TODAY.

Pau Gasol is GONE

Deep down, you don't believe that.

SF 49ers by 10.

SF's defense is really good and unlike Seattle, they offense won't just play 1/2 the game.

we didn't have our primary pass rusher in Abraham for a good part of the 1st half and the entire 2nd half against the seahawks, and not having him in the second half showed how much it affected ATLs defense

As for the 9ers DBs, i'm not as worried about them then I was the seahawks DBs. Carlos Rodgers (6') is definitely a hard hitting/physical CB, but he's not as physically impressive as richard sherman (6'3") or brandon browner (6'4"). donte whitner is intimidating, but not so much as earl thomas or kam chancellor.

Tony G. is the x-factor for this game. SF is #1 in opponent TE yards, but is only #21 in defensive efficiency when opposing TEs are thrown to, and are #28 in opposing TE touchdowns allowed.

49ers have only really played 2 teams with star TEs and beat them both (the Saints and the Pats, who didn't have Gronk but had Hernandez). Neither of those teams have the two superstar vertical threats lined up on both sides (Roddy and Julio) along with a star TE that the Falcons possess.

I think it's gonna be a tight shoot-out with the ATL coming out on top. HCA and having that playoff monkey off of Matt Ryan and company's shoulder is gonna play a huge factor this sunday.

Dashon Goldson........ remember that name. He's the reason your WRs won't go across the middle.

A name you won't hear Sunday: Terrel Brown. Because QBs know not to throw at him.

Willis / Bowman: The 2 best LBs in the league on the same team. Just not fair.

SF's Defense is Fake and has been over rated for 2 years. Subtract all the games vs weak teams like the Jets, Bills, Cardinals 2x, and Rams 2x (who they couldnt beat) that were all low scoring games. Some even shut outs. Subtract those games vs weak offenses that cant move the ball in practice and lets do some math vs contenders and strong teams.
No b.s. Just stats and facts.

Packers 31, 359
Seahawks 42, 350
Patriots 34, 538
NY Giants 26, 362
Vikings 24, 354
Packers 22, 397 (week 1 when GB had 6 starters injured)
New Orleans 32, 472 (NFC Chip 2012)
211 points, 2832 yards in 7 games???

SF's defense has allowed an average of 404 yards and 30 points in each of the last 7 games they have played against playoff caliber offenses.

But average those games in with SFs blow out wins where teams didnt clear 200 total yards vs
34-0 vs Jets
45-3 vs bills
24-3 vs the Cards
and countless scores vs other non contenders that were in the 13-20 point range and SF has a super solid Defense.....lol

Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense aint afraid of these guys. Pro Bowlers...lol How many interceptions did their Carlos Rodgers have this season? He had 1. A single INT in 16 games and hes in the pro bowl. 6'0" and ATL's receivers are supposed to fear this guy? HA!

Decoud 6 INTs
Samuels 5 INTs
Moore 4 INTs.

Team Total
ATL 21
SF 12
peeps are talking about the wrong defense. Thats right #5 in the red zone. We give up running yards in soft zone D's when were 20 points up at half time.
People love to over look us. Love to doubt and hate. Throw reasons out why this team isnt capable of winning. But theres no reason why Atlantas offense isnt gonna expose the SF defense just like all the other competitors have done above.

i didn't overlook Dashon or Tarell, i'm just not worried about them. they are definitely solid, but they don't have me sweating like Kam Chancellor or Brandon Browner

now Navorro Bowman and Patrick Willis, those are scary dudes, I never denied this. hell that entire LB core is nuts. like i said earlier, Tony G is going to be the x-factor here.

What my 9er fan friends are saying"
"Were gonna win because we have 5 Super Bowls, its our destiny"
Were gonna win because Kapernick is the new Steve Young".

I'm not trying to be arrogant. 49ers are just better. They've won bigger games (in GB, in NE, in NO (when they were winning)).
Come Sunday you'll agree.

^^^ Some of those are funny, but the majority don't even apply to SF. The last one is a great example.

ATL is doing their mest Mike Brown/Dantonie impression...

DUMB play calling continues...

If you are up, why are you passing so much?
First the interception...
Now, a fumble on a shotgun snap!

You are winning, have the ball, and driving, and just got momentum...
You are in FG range, why are you even in the SHOTGUN!
Your running game was getting HUGE chunks...
Why throw the ball?

Now a roughing the passer!
on an incompleted 3rd down pass...

BOTH THESE TEAMS WANT TO LOSE!!!!

2nd and goal at the 4...
What do you do?

Line the QB up in shotgun!!!!

morons...

this is like mike brown vs mike dantonie

How can anyone think that lining up yhour QB further 5 yeards behind the line of scrimiage, when you are 4 yards from the endzone, IS a good idea!

Im not sure which team wants to lose worse...
