1. Ghouls N Ghosts or Ghosts N Goblins (whichever system you had Genesis or Super Nintendo)

After beating the final boss, which was hard as friggin he11, the game made you start over from the beginning and it automatically turned up the difficulty to a level not even on option menu and you had to go through all umpteen stages again to get to real ending.

2. Drakkhen (SNES)

A RPG that was so hard, cuz you got hardly any life and everything...literally EVERYTHING in the game could kill you. If you walked to two steps into a lake, you couldnt escape and would drown.

Random monsters of UNBELIEVABLE power would attack you from the opening moments of the game.

There also were no instructions, a the quest was not straight forward so you didn't even have a clue what you were supposed to do.

A beast of a game. I would like to find one human on Earth who played this game and finished it.

Where is this from? Curious what else is on there... Ghouls N Ghosts was seriously impossible. Never played the other one, but it looks like a terrible game.

Some of mine would have to be Battletoads, Zelda II, Contra, Castlevania, and Blaster Master.

From my most recent lecture:

Search for the Titanic

Last stage was incredibly hard because developers don't want ppl to win the raffle.

i beat ghouls and ghosts with the invincibility code on, and it was still hard...lol

there was an old genesis game, x-men 2 clone wars i think that was hard as hell

super mario: lost levels was another hard game i beat, and i thought final fantasy VIII was decently difficult if you leveled your characters up to 99, because the enemies level up with you in that game

some of the middle mortal kombat games (trilogy i think, and probably III) were unnecessarily hard i thought

Fallout 3 was easy... even on hard. Depends on which route you take, though. If you try and remain a good character, its difficult because of the ammo situation. But you can always make the Rock-it-launcher and toss trash at things.

But I went as evil as possible the first time around, stealing and killing everything, and always had way more weapons/armor/ammo than I could possibly carry and caps were never an issue. It was actually TOO easy this way.

The only game that I've played that I never conquered was Super Mario Bros on NES and God of War on PS2. Everything else I've beaten without codes.

Pau Gasol is GONE

You haven't beaten the original SMB? I'm not one of the crazy speed run guys, but I can easily get through the game(yes, the whole game... not just the first time through) in under an hour.
