LO and the Lakers need each other. There is no free agent that can replace what Lamar brings to this team.

I expect Odom be back next season.

Only if Utah doesn't match on Millsap.

Utah is matching the offer and trading Boozer later.

They need to take out a $11 million loan to pay Millsap by next week. Millsap is their future starting PF.

Then Lamar is Portland's future sixth man.

good read. Odom needs to call up Dr. Buss and keep his agent out of it. Lamar, take the 4 year/36 mil or you'll end up taking less, unless you're hoping Portland can't get Milsap.

That was a great article and dead in IMO. I wouldn't want Odom at that price for more than 3 years. 4 years wouldn't be a disaster so I can see why they give in to that, yet never got a response from Odom. At 35 being paid that amount imagine how inconsistent he will be by then. Yes he bring unique skills because of his size and ability to handle the ball, but he isn't a great defender by any means, at most a good team defender. But his inconsistent play overall is what makes even what they were willing to give him an overpaid contract, but shows how much Buss is committed to winning when he has the horses to do so. But it isn't worth screwing things up in the future for a player like Lamar. He isn't as important as Kobe or Pau or even Ron probably at this point. If they find the right backup at then PF/C spot they should still be strong contenders for the title.
