Max Wittek named back up QB on depth chart over Cody Kessler.

Kind of surprised at the decision. From everything I read, Kessler was out performing Wittek throughout the spring and summer.

Both are good talents though. The race for starter is going to be competitive after this season.

But this won't be an issue, the biggest thing is USC notified the NCAA shortly after they found out about the allegations. It sucks to hear about but at least we notified the NCAA so it calms my nerves.

The timing of the release is what irritates me. It wasn't supposed to be released until Sunday. Today was supposed to be about the players who stuck around and honoring Junior. Sucks for the players who will once again have to answer questions about possible NCAA violations.

What happened was the LA Times wanted to get the story out first and probably thought they couldn't wait till Sunday's paper.

My biggest question about this article is about the car involved. We already went through this a couple years ago with Joe. It makes me think the Times is rehashing an old story. Only time will tell.

Transferred to El Camino College. He fell behind because of academic issues, injuries, and was outplayed by Wittek and Kessler for the back up job.

Browne is going to be good, but next year it will be Wittek or Kessler. It's smart to redshirt Browne unless he performs out of his mind (which he could very well do)

i just don't get the star sense from wittek or kessler. they feel like john david booty. like a bridge

browne is kind of coming in with a lot of fire behind him, I hope he goes because by his junior year all of the scholarship sanctions should be gone(assuming the new allegations don't extend anything) and the team will be deep to go with their talent again.

MB 6 touchdowns, just that one whack pick. Defense was pretty unimpressive though.

Defense needs to step up but we are still without starters as well. Dawson and Horton got some reps but still are not 100% and playing a majority of the game.

They'll get better as the season goes along, they faced probably the best quarterback, if not one of the best they will face all season in Nasib.

I still don't like the cover 2 we constantly run. It puts no pressure on the opposing offense.

Good win though. A little too close for comfort but it was good to see them turn it on in the fourth.

Stanford next week, I feel this will be a blowout win. No Luck and you know SC is looking forward to getting that W over the trees after a couple near misses the last couple of seasons.
