I think your warranty covers only malfunctions in the device.

Usually when something happens to the device due to something you or someone did to it, they will not let you return it.

damm that sucks. First go and say the controllers are sticky cuz u drop some kool-aid on your DSI and say u want a new one. If they dont accept it go outside find a rock and damage your screen. Then go back in and tell then the screen is damaged 2.

Maybe if you start crying in the store, they'll feel bad and let you return it. It's worth a shot.

Clean it up real good and say it started acting up and now it's bricked. Tell them you just want another working one.

That will do absolutely nothing.

It's usually for device malfunctions.

I've never heard of anyone returning a device because of spilled kool-aid. And don't break you're screen because usually people at gamestop or any video game store can tell if the crack was on accident or on purpose. Don't ask me how they know, but they figure it out somehow.

Get a hammer, open it up, and smash all those circuits into pieces. Then close it back up (make sure you can hear the pieces when you shake it), go to gamestop and tell them it came out of the box like that.

Then they will ask why the D.S is sticky. I'm pretty sure they won't think there was kool-aid in the box.

You're screwed. They're not going to pay for your accident. I'm sorry. It was never supposed to be this way.

On a serious note, what you're basically asking is how to commit fraud.

Dang that sucks man.

Sad that it had to be Kool-Aid out of all things to destroy a DS.

That drink is delicious.

Dop it in some water and say it's acting up.

"It's a write off!"
"How is it a write off?"
"It just is!"
"How do they write it off?"
"All these big companies do it. They write off everything."
"...you don't even know what a write off is."
"Do you?"
"No. I don't."
"Well, they do. And they're the ones...writing it off."
