Ok. So im thinking about restoring my computer since it is starting to slow down and stuff. I was looking through my stuff to find the installation driver and vista re-installation cd. and found them. I know nothing about computers and i dont know if a cd came for my graphics card (i dont even know if its a graphic card, i tihnk i ahve a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400). So if i restore my comp do i need a driver or something to make my graphic card work? And i ahve most of the stuff i want to keep on my external HD. So how would i actually restore my computer? Put the vista reinstallation disc in my cdrom drive and re-boot my comp?

Yea so can any of you computer savy people help me?

Well with my computer it came with a computer restore cd which erased your whole hard drive and once completed looked like a brand new computer that just came from the store.

So i went to the Dell website and dells computers have a program called Dell Factory Image Restore where it restores your computer to the way you recieved it. Has anyone used this before?

why not just reformat? then go to your manufactures site, and look for your cpu. and d/l the apporiate drives back. thats what i do when i reformat my cpu, i don't use the $40 recovery sony disk bcuz it just installs junk that i dont really need. but for the topic starter, i would go to where you got your video card from site, and look for yours and d/l the installation back.
