"We want Orlando," Andrew Bynum proclaimed, "because I think we owe them. They beat us 2-0 in the regular season, but we get homecourt against them and that's huge in The Finals. Last year we learned that."

Bynum should play a few more years, and actually contribute, before calling other teams out or stating who we want to play against in the NBA Finals. We don't need a mouthpiece that can barely stay in the game.

and it'll be worse against howard

you'd think he'd want zydrunas so he can stay in the game

but bynum is somewhat competitive so maybe he wants to face dwight on the biggest stage in backetball

Adande also wrote that Bynum was the only Laker wearing both the championship hat and shirt after the game last night.

I know he's young, but even 9-year olds who follow sports know that you are always supposed to say that you don't care who you play, blah, blah blah.

Oh, well. Talk is cheap. If those comments inspire Orlando, then so be it.

All the Lakers, including Kobe have said all season they wanted Boston in the Finals again. It's not like Bynum is saying "We want Orlando because they are weak and we'll have an easier time beating them", he's saying he wants to play them cause they beat us and we want revenge. Sure it isn't the politically correct response, but he's not dissing them or giving them necessarily bulletin board material.
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

Perhaps he shouldn't have said it but it makes sense that you want homecourt advantage. Having game 6 and 7 in Cleveland will be a huge advantage to the cavs. Bynum's honesty is a blessing and a curse. It is nice to hear his honest thoughts about things but it is not PC all the time in this PC world.

Totally agree, nobody on the team except Phil or Kobe should say who they prefer, and they aren't going to say it out loud.

Let's say Superman will have his way against Bynum when he hears this quote and after tonight's game when they advance and face us in the Finals.

seemed like AB has played DH as well as anyone. Also AB wanting HCourt isnt a ridiculous thought
Kobe's official reign of terror is about to get its jump off on.

lol who cares. what's up with people getting mad at him. he said it doesn't matter who they face but HCA is something they would prefer that quote is not the whole thing...there is a video where he says he doesn't care...what's wrong with that.

if the magic need a quote from andrew bynum of all people to help give them extra motivation then that's pretty sad.

It's not a big deal. It's just rare to ever get a player to make a comment like this.

Let's overreact and make a big deal out of nothing.

I didn't see you guys complain when most of the Lakers said they wanted to play the Celtics again in the Finals.
