its definitely right up there, top 5 I think. 48 point, 16 reb performance at Sacto in 2001 will be No.1 IMO.

For me personally, in terms of controlling the game cleverly and methodically, yes, but in terms of pure numbers and stats, no. He's had many way better than this.

Agreed. I also have to mention though, he was a staggering +31 in the +/- stat.

Definitely a top 5-7 best playoff game and a top 15 all-around. Kobe had/has so many spectacular games and it's very hard to rank them...

kobe has been one of the elite conference finals performers in NBA history

where he falls short statistically is in the finals

this is a big finals for him

in reality it is everything to his legacy

its a make or break series for his legacy

This was Jordanesque in his 30's. Very efficient.

Lol wow. I just wrote one of the longest posts in my 21,000+ M2 posts about why many Kobe fans might hate Lebron. But I just wrote this (and I didn't see this thread before):
"... so his 35/10ast/6reb on 60% with 1TO in a 30pt win to close out the series is an incredibly underrated game."

This is definitely one of his best performances ever. You saw the statline. 60% from the field, 50% from 3, 100% from FT. +31. Only 1TO. We win by almost 30. This is to prevent a game 7, to close out a series on the road, to reach the NBA finals. INCREDIBLE performance.

Yes u are so right. Sure he didn't get 50 but he was incredibly efficient. His recognition of what to do with each possession was just excellent. He played excellent defense. Made the extra pass and just did everything necessary to win the game. The last two games were better than the first four games because he used all his talents and recognized the teams talents as well. I am sure some die hard kobe only fans will not see the great game kobe played.

It was the most calculating Kobe I've ever seen in my life.

He is NOW more Michael Jordan than ever.

its hard to imagine it getting much better than jordan, kobe, and lebron. i can't begin to explain how lucky i feel to have grown up in LA, having the cable channel "WGN" on the lineup (a chicago based network that played half the bulls regular season games) so i was able to watch jordan essentially win all 6 of those championships. to be a laker fan, and have probably watched 80-90% of all the games kobe has ever played (i missed a decent amount of regular season games at times in college when i had no TV). and seeing what lebron is doing, knowing who the next "best in the league" is and keepin an eye on him for now, and the future.

a year later he passes it out and they create for themselves and eachother

lets hope it continues
