He was irrelevant two seasons ago.

Guys, from this report: http://sports.espn.g...broussard_chris

By Chris Broussard, ESPN Blog:

By the way, Pierce is nuts if he thinks he's the league's best player. I love his game and he was definitely the finals MVP. But Paul, don't get it twisted: you're probably not even in the Top 10 (I feel like Roger Federer talking to Neil Everett): (In no particular order) LeBron, Kobe, Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire.

I like Paul's confidence, though.

PP is still talking crap.

Paul Pierce said it. He meant it. And he still means it.

The Boston Celtics small forward/guard recently was asked by a Spanish publication whether he thought Kobe Bryant was the best player in the world.

Pierce said no. The NBA Finals MVP called himself the "best player."

He added, "There's a line that separates having confidence and being conceited. I don't cross that line, but I have a lot of confidence in myself."

On Thursday, Pierce stood by his comments, saying he is entitled to his opinion.

"That's what I said. I am a confident player and a lot of people might look at it like 'Oh, another cocky attitude,' but I don't look at it that way," said Pierce, who is in town for his annual youth basketball camp at Hangar Athletic Xchange.

When somebody has to say that they're the best, then there's something wrong with them. I don't think I've heard Kobe ever say "I'm the best"... He lets his game do the talking. Lol @ ickerfan567, yeah Pierce must be smokin some good stuff in Europe :D

It's a terrible thing in this world when a team full of losers gets a championship. Pierce is like a little child honestly. He might really be delusional he looks like he's so wrapped up in his own little world and his whole personality is fake. What a damn fraud. I'm gonna enjoy our dynasty that much more.

Can TLN somehow censor off anything related to PeePee? Even NBA.com has this headline on the news and, it's really making ppl everywhere puke man....

And too bad he didn't really cross THE LINE of saying "I'm the BEST PLAYER in the world, EVER SINCE BASKETBALL WAS INVENTED."

I'd surely go down to California and smack his skull through.

Seriously, he is getting more and more idiotic as this goes, I wonder if the PeePee fans agree to this...then they will really be condemning him....best player on the Celtics, is KEVIN GARNETT, PeePee by A MILE.

Arghz...fury burning.....
