Man the [expletive] up and play for the team that drafts you. Otherwise, bomb all of your pre-draft workouts, or just be a no-show for the Memphis and OKC ones, so you can go to Suckramento and I can root against you.

Exactly.

This is all his agent's idea, I really doubt he said he said he doesn't want to go to MEM or OKC

I heard he has to pay 7 million from his own pocket just to play in the NBA...so I guess that's one of the reasons he wants to go to a bigger market to obtain more money probably

btw how bout Farmar, Morrison, Luke for 2nd overall pick to pick Rubio. He can play in LA.

Thanks again Memphis.

lol

If he wants to be in LA, read this Memphis management. We'll throw you Z-bo and some free water bottles and bubble wrap for your #2 pick. That way you get something out of it instead of drafting someone who doesn't want you, and Clippers get Griffin AND Rubio. Sweet!!

nah he wants to play with pau gasol and the lakers

not the clippers c'mon TCI

I don't blame him for not wanting to play for those teams.

Id rather play for an up and coming OKC team than Sacramento. But looks like Sacramento will still get their man even though they didnt get the #1/2 pick =/

I'm with Real Deal.

Shut yer yap and be thankful you'll be in the NBA.

Great sign, having a built-in ego before he p[lays second one in the NBA. My opinion of Rubio just dropped a couple of notches. He may be NBA ready, but he won't be crazy effective for a couple of years.

OKC shouldn't even be looking at rubio they need a big man

blake griffin would have been ideal but now just take thabeet

thabeet
green
durant
sepholosha
westbrook

thats a very good core and i think they have more picks in the 1st round which can allow them to draft a couple more bigs maybe a dejuan blair or possibly a SG maybe a tyreke evans if still available

they have a great young core which in 2 years may rival that of portland

stay away from rubio he does not help that team thehy need defensive size

Oh man that might actually be true

But he doesn't want to go to those cities for MARKETING reasons not team reasons... Because I bet he wouldn't mind playing in Memphis with Mark Gasol and all the young guys
I'm a DIE HARD Clippers fan, and proud. I respect the Lakers and watch them every chance I get.

Respect me and I'll respect you. Don't respect me... we'll cross that bridge when we get there :)

I tend to agree with you but the fact that Rubio can go back to Spain and play another year gives him that opportunity to basically choose where he plays.

If he doesn't want to be drafted by Memphis, it's really easy. He retires his draft candidature before june the 15th, and waits one more year in Spain, or two. He has a 6 million euros buyout, that's not a bargain and he must pay it from his pocket. It's logic he doesn't want to go to Memphis, and he has alternatives.
