Its gonna be tough for the Lakers to beat Denver going through stretches of playing no defense and taking stupid shots.

He was tripped. Wouldn't have happened if refs would have caught JR Smith running into the circle before a player touched the ball.

AHHHHH Dont remind me!!

Seriously Bad Officiating today on both ends. Especially on that play which really cost us.

Lakers need to go up to Denver with 96 minutes of killer basketball!!!

For the love of all that is holy stop playing Sasha, limit Fisher to 10 min (seriously the guy is just playing bad basketball -- terrible lay-ups and awful shooting), and get in each others faces. The only team that can beat the Lakers is the Lakers. Odom, Bynum & Gasol need to show up more. Since when did Odom lose the ability to drive? I've seen Gasol take about 3 of those amazing jump shots he puts in so effortlessly and Bynum has been sub par on both ends. He was definitely better tonight.

@#(*@#$ LAKERS!!! BURY SOMEONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Klezia was big, Miss Ft in the 4th that were crucial nobody else to blame you can't pinpoint the lost on that JR smith play Lakers played lackadaisical in the 2nd half so we deserved to lose today. Time to put this game away and focused on game 3.

MDI was @ the game and he called me right after. He said Fish's foot was on the line? So even if he would have made it, we [still] would have lost.

The blame for this game rests solely on Phil Jackson. He has plenty of championships, all won by having the 2 best players in the league on the same team, surrounded by gritty role players that know their role. Unfortunately, that is not the case with this Lakers squad, not that they are devoid of talent, they have plenty. The guy refuses to see that Fisher is giving nothing to this team on either end of the floor. Unfortunately the replacement guards aren't much better. Farmar can't play D well enough, Shannon Brown is inexperienced at this point (although I do see him being the future starting point guard for the team, and I like his game), and Sasha can't even play basketball. This game was lost in the 3 minute period at the end of the first half, when the Lakers had complete control of the game, and Phil made some boneheaded substitutions and ended up giving the entire lead and momentum that we built over the entire half away. Instead of just keeping that team on the floor, going up by 20 and crushing the nuggets will to win this game, and with it, their will to win the series. When you get a chance to curb stomp your opposition, you take it.

His substitution patterns make no sense at all. There are times where there is literally no offensive threat on the floor other than Pau, basically meaning he will be double teamed and some Laker who is shooting below 30 percent will get a wide open shot to miss.

Phil is an arrogant coach, who has gotten by having far superior talent to his competition, he is regularly out coached, in fact, he rarely coaches at all, its almost like he is following a script with his substitution patterns, and god knows he wouldn't call a timeout to save his life. Thank god he will more than likely be retiring after this season, win or lose. This team is insanely talented, and with the right coach and perhaps a couple different pieces (legit starting point guard, and one tough guy) they could be nearly unbeatable. I just don't think that they have it in them this year. Of course, every time I write them off they come out and beat someone down by 30. We shall see.

People who are blaming the refs have no clue. They called the game horribly, but for both ends, look how many nugs were in massive foul trouble. If you can't hold a 14 point lead, you don't deserve to win, period. The nugs have looked like the superior team in the first 2 games, but as we all know, that can change in a heartbeat. The lakers should feel very fortunate to not be down 2-0 and be all but out of this series. I really think that they need not 1, but both games in Denver, and I think that if they play smart basketball for 48 minutes (smart basketball = kobe on the floor), they will accomplish that goal easily.

yes the game was called horribly for both sides, but at the end where is mattered the most is where the lakers got owned. like when pau gasol got pushed now, trevor ariza mobbed after jump ball, etc.

People who blame the refs have a clue, because they watched the game.

Give the Nuggets some credit for the adjustments they made to come back. Give the Lakers credit for playing a pretty good 3rd quarter.

Then, note the whistles over the last 3 minutes of Q3 and into the 4th.

The Lakers still could've won.

But, Melo and Billups combined for 30 FTA's.

Kobe and Pau combined for only 20 FTA's.

It's tough. Denver got, I think, 33 FTA's in Game 1, and it wasn't enough. In game 2, they got 37, and it was just enough. The right guys got the shots in Game 2.

Almost any poorly officiated game is not completely controlled by the refs, and this game was no different. The Lakers had their chances, and we can fairly analyze/critique those things.

But, it would've been nice to see what would've happened had the Nuggets not been marched to the line to end the 3rd quarter, allowing them to cut the Lakers lead from 5 to 1.

And, it would've been nice to see that erroneous kicked ball not be called, the jump ball violation called and/or the Melo trip on Ariza.

In Game 1, the officiating was poor, but the Lakers got the calls down the stretch and it aided them in victory. In Game 2, the officiating was pretty even for about 3.75 quarters; but, the last 15 minutes were strongly in Denver's favor, and sure enough, it aided them in pulling out a much needed road victory.

If Phil doesn't rest Pau we are going to have a big problem, he is been almost all the entire season playing 40+ minutes, and he doesn't have the stamina that Kobe has.
