You can't look at defense by just points the opponent scored. You have to look at opposing field goal %. The Lakers run a fast paced game (since triangle is really working now), so the opponent will get more shots too. Teams like Boston and Spurs run a halfcourt and more slowed down pace. If the Suns played defense like the Celtics then their opponents will still prob score over 100 just because the Suns complete their offense at a quick pace so their opponent's get more time with but the Suns could still keep the opponent's field goal % down. Having said that the Lakers are rank 6th in the league at opposing field goal %. Just in the Celtics series we played kinda bad d.

People say his teams don't defend when the numbers suggested otherwise.

Not only that - we made it to the Finals and two wins away from the gold WITHOUT our anchor in the middle in Andrew Bynum.

That 12 mil a year will pay off when the next dynasty starts come next season...

Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

but we are entertained by these people young man and they work harder than most. Think about practice and talking to the media and giving up your personal life and everything that goes with being famous. then think about how much a ticket cost, television revenues, where should that money go? i know you are like 14 and that type of stuff doesnt matter to you but it matters in the real world.

not with the streams that the NBA makes, no i think the money is evenly distributed. I dont think any entertainers are overpaid, b/c they reach a great deal of individuals.

I think by just emphasizing defense the Lakers got really good... Team defense!! the Lakers have some grinders

Sasha, farmar, Rad, Fisher and Pau

the Lakers also have really good naturally talented defensive players
Bynum, kobe, Ariza, and LO

Yea Phil made this team develop faster than anyone could expect.. less than 2 years!! he's worth all 12 mill

Look at Larry Brown.. he lasted a year in NY with all that talent..
