it's a toss up for me hombres, i thought condit really made diaz eat a lot of punches and kicks moving forward but diaz was controlling the fight from the beginning. it's a tough call
That's how I see it. I'm leaning towards Condit though because that's how they've scored it in the past. Machida and Frankie Edgar have won fights like that before. Don't have a huge problem with it either way.
Although he did back pedal a lot, Condit did win the stand up in 4 of the 5 rounds. And, the fight was entirely on the feet except for the 5th round. I don't know how you score "controlling the center of the octagon." Although, octagon control is one of the ways they are supposed to score the fight.

Cain vs Mir has been announced which I feel is an awesome match up. Also announced, Tito vs Forrest 3.

Well Diaz just blew it, literally, by test positive for marijuana following the Condit fight.
Cain vs Mir has been announced which I feel is an awesome match up. Also announced, Tito vs Forrest 3.
He should be lucky Dana hasn't cut him. It's the 2nd time now that he's tested positive in Nevada and I think he's facing a year long suspension.
Cain vs Mir should be great. I wonder where Cain will prefer the fight to go. He got knocked out in his last fight, but Mir is very dangerous off his back.

SMH at Rampage.
Mark Hunt has some mean power in his hands.
Looks like we could get Pettis-Henderson II.
How great was Tim Boetsch's comeback?!
I don't think Jake Shields won that match.

I liked how they scored that fight though. I prefer awarding striking over octagon control (takedowns).

I wonder who replaces him now. Maybe Fabricio Werdum or Frank Mir? Not nearly as good of fights as Overeem would've been.

http://www.sherdog.c...-146-Test-41623
The former Strikeforce heavyweight champion may request that his B-sample be tested, but Kizer told Sherdog that Overeem has not contacted the commission as of yet. The fighter must now appear before the NAC before he can be granted a license to fight.
The test administered to Overeem was the first of two random samples he agreed to submit after receiving a conditional license to fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 141 on Dec. 30. The Dutchman ran through Lesnar in that bout, pummeling the former champion’s body en route to a first-round technical knockout. It is currently unknown if that result will be affected by Overeem’s recent positive test.

Jones range was just too much for Evans. I was surprised that Evans didn't go for the take down after the 1st round. When he tired going for the take down it was too late and he was exhausted.
I think Jones would have stopped them anyway, his wrestling is great as well. It definitely would have been a better strategy though. I think he would have had a better chance at winning some rounds. Evans may be able to knock people out, but I don't think he's the type the wins rounds by out-striking people.
