this should be a wakeup call for the guys.

just like how giving up a 24 point lead to the celtics in the finals should have woken us up to close teams out

this team is riddled with talented prima donnas who believe the hype

we are the NBAs version of the dallas cowboys

WE WILL BE FINE!

GEEZE

the rockets have our attention now

we were not prepared and we looked rusty today. Blame all around but we'll be fine.

eh, 1st game of the series or not, lakers are still the better team...this uninspired, flat performance doesn't surprise me that much at all...the rockets still don't concern me...we will not, i repeat, will not lose this series

if he wouldn't have fouled out of the 1st quarter maybe we wouldn't have been in this spot in the first place

I missed him fouling out of the first quarter. :nervous:

that has nothing to with the fact that he didnt play the entire 4th qtr. he could have helped us come back with his defense on yao...pau is obviously too soft and cant handle him

Tale of the tape:

Rockets shot 47%...we shot 44%
Rockets were more aggressive at the basket taking 10 more FTA than us.
We attempted just as many 3s as Houston did...problem was we only made 2...out of 17.

This team disappoints more than any of my fav teams.

first it was home court they failed at that now even if we get past houston which is now actually in question which it shouldn't be considering we have the "god" team now do we really think we can beat denver playing like we are

last season we cared more. played with more urgency and heart. today we coasted for a half and then kept on the sucking for the second half

LMFAO at all you guys saying Pau Gasol sucks and Pau Gasol is soft.

LEARN HOW TO PLAY BASKETBALL.

THEN TAKE A CLASS THAT TEACHES UNITS, SUCH AS INCHES.

Then, take someone who is 7'0" and stand them next to someone that is 7'6" tall. See the difference?

Why do you think that Kobe doesn't guard 7'0" centers? Maybe because of something such as height difference? Then add the extra wingspan that Yao has on Gasol and Pau isn't getting anywhere. You're going to have to accept that. This doesn't mean Pau is soft, this means he is 6 inches shorter than Yao!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIKE YES REALLY OMG!!

Pau is going to be able to shoot jump shots and jump shots. Same with Andrew Bynum. If their jump shots aren't falling, well then we can't look into the post much can we?

What we should be doing is having Pau and Bynum when in at separate times play on the weak side of the ball and let Odom run the post on the other side, or they can run the pick and roll up top to get Kobe free into a position where we get this mismatch.

Blaming Pau Gasol for being soft is outrages and just goes to show how many people on here don't actually understand basketball. Or inches for that matter.

bring drew off the bench. odom plays better as a starter. we just have to hope drew embraces that role.

Horrible way for a series start. They play pretty great defense and we have no answer for Brook's quickness. 1-1 won't even satisfy me becuz we might lose both in Houston. Mtfkin #1 for no reason.

id rather commit suicide then go thruw this again

Reading your posts in this thread, and the only thought that comes to mind is "I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend"

It'll be alright. Breathe in and breathe out.
