The amount of highlights from that entire season (minus Kobe's) is probably equal to what this team can get in a month (minus Kobe's).

Phil Collins.
Sasha With Short Hair
Kobe Still Number 8
Brian Cook
Mimh actually getting minutes.

Things I miss about that season...Cook and Mihm were good guys, to bad they sucked at Basketball.

I think 2006-2007 was a lot tougher. The Lakers hobbled into the playoffs that year.

I think they went on a 4 or 5 game winning streak to end the 2005-2006 season.

2006 team could've possibly made the Finals had it not choked against Phoenix.

Would've definitely beaten the Clips in round 2, and the Mavs would've been waiting on the other side of that one.

Beating Dallas would've been an upset, but, beating a Mavericks team that had never been to the Finals would not have been that shocking.

Kobe carried that team; yet, of course he got ripped to shreds after the Lakers lost game 7.

Seriously nice video, just like Commercial said Amazing at how much we've improved.
The song got appeal like as of the first time you take your kid to Disneyland where he is old enough to really enjoy it :dance1:

First year we brought Phil back . Back in the playoffs after not making the playoffs the season before.
Also forgot how Kwame played okay for us that year also.
I STILL MISS RONNY :( ... Yeah Yeah I know J-Po is great I like him too.

MDI your video is great but let me add another video which was the highlight of that seasons playoffs :)

As I could remember UKUGA it was Kwame's fault.
I hate to play the blame game but if Kwame would of boxed out James Jones grab that rebound, Tim Thomas would of never made that three.

An I would of never beat up my cousin who is a CLipper fan. Posted Image
yeah we still talk but were still a bit distant

I agree. If we could have won 1 more game we could have made it in the finals. Clipps would have been a game 5 beatdown. Dallas , as I remember is the year Kobe outscored them in 3 quarters. And Miami? I could see them beating us in 6.

We had a decent guard rotation to start the year and then Wafer just didn't get any tick and Laron Profit got injured. I was pretty excited about those guys and Smush.

I remember Laron Profit, he was actually becoming a good player for us until that injury. Whatever happened to that guy?

I've never been able to get this "what if" out of my head. Too bad we'll never know. I think we would've lost to the Heat, but I could definitely see us beating the Clippers and giving the Mavs a run.
Gotta look ahead though.

That was a borderline D-league roster calibre...

Player by player roster and their current status:
Kobe Bryant: former MVP
Lamar Odom: Will drop either 20/10 or 5/3/4 (fouls)
Smush Parker: IIRC, he's currently playing for China
Chris Mihm: done
Brian Cook: currently in SVG's doghouse
Kwame Brown: bust
Devean George: scrub, yet teams are wooing him (how???)
Luke Walton: overpaid and injury-prone, still somewhat serviceable
Laron Profit: done
Sasha Vujacic: 15 mil contract who shoots 38.7% (don't get me started with his PO numbers)
Ronny Turiaf: a shotblocking presence but that's it
Jim Jackson: retired
Andrew Bynum: gained a reputation of being lazy at times
Von Wafer: just a shooter
Stanislav Medvedenko: retired
Devin Green: out of the league
Aaron Mckie: retired

So how on earth they managed to squeaked 45 wins?
