Why? We don't even have a backup for Bynum right now.Minimum? Sure, but not a penny more.
Mbenga was playing well at the end of the season... he was learning from Cap and his game was developing at the end of the season.

Tuesday updates revealed that Magloire was still waiting to hear back from the Heat after last week's workout. Wright continues to explore his options around the league. And I'm told MBenga, who worked out in Miami on Monday, has a minimum-level offer to return to the Lakers. But he hopes to get a somewhat sweeter offer from Miami and expects to hear from Riley and Co. as early as Wednesday.

Not really. We signed Josh Powell who seems to be an improvement, skill-wise, over Turiaf. Plus we have a [hopefully] healthy Mihm returning, plus you can't forget our starting Center, Bynum. And Gasol will probably also get minutes at Center. DJ barely got minutes with Bynum and Mihm out of the picture, I don't see his minutes increasing this season. He'll get about the same IF he's lucky.Realistically, how much more would the Heat offer? I mean, wouldn't he want to take slightly less to play for a championship? The Heat might make the playoffs but they're far from being a title contender. With Ronny out of the picture, DJ is looking at more playing time.
