Barkley:
"The lakers arent on a mission like the nuggets or Lebron"

Boozer:
"we put fear in them"

I know they mean nothing but its getting absolute ridiculous in regards to how the Lakers are spoken of when being up in a series and having one of the best records in the league, while playing IMO one of the more battle tested play off teams around. With arguably the best PG in the league
Kobe's official reign of terror is about to get its jump off on.

No point on getting annoyed, we have to play better, because we CAN, get to the finals, and beat the cavs, I don't care what people say about us.

Fear in the Lakers?

1) Kobe had the worst game of his career
2) Bynum breathed on people and fouled out (despite only having 5)
3) Gasol couldn't hit a free throw if it were a rock in the Ocean
4) We didn't make one stop the entire 4th to win it down the stretch
5) They hit big shot after big shot (give them credit).

What do all five have in common - they are not consistent to how we play... and we still only lost by two. The only thing I fear is how much I will cry in joy when Kobe lights Utah up Satuday night for 35+

This is what upsets me. Now you have Boozer giving crazy quotes like "We put fear in them". The sad thing is that the Lakers are not going to learn overnight how to close teams out. If we put them away with that 13 point lead in the third quarter, the Jazz lose all confidence. Now they feel like it's a new series.

The playoffs are a long journey, so I am not going to get too upset over this loss. I believe if we game 4, the series ends on Monday. I felt that the Jazz were going to take one of these games at home anyway.

Here's the thing, the Lakers withstood two runs from the Jazz in games one and two. In game three, the Lakers made a run themselves to overcome a deficit and then ended up losing that lead. The Jazz are good enough to overcome a ten point deficit.

I would be more upset if the Lakers had played well the entire game and then blew the lead, but the truth is the Lakers played well for one quarter which was the 3rd. Other than that quarter, they played like crap and still lost by two.

I'll definately take it.

The Lakers can play a lot better and they will put together a complete game in game 4 and then finish the series at home.

Boozer can talk all he wants, but he needs to walk the walk on the court. He had a great game no doubt, but he needs to do that the rest of the series if the Jazz want a chance to win.

That is true. I'm over the loss now, and I will take a two point loss where most of the team played like crap. We will see if Boozer can get a 23-22 with Bynum in the game.

lmao at boozer.

how do make someone fear you by only winning by two points when the lakers probably played the worst possible game they could actually play. if kobe made atleast two more shots we would have won.

I agreed with what Barkley said, we havent been playing like we are on a mission, dont know how you could deny that. We should have beat this team by 20+ the first two games and by a good 10-15 last night.

Thats ridiculous. thats like saying if we are up 8 after 1 we should win by 32. Being up by 20 means you can rest your starters. We dominated those 2 games and they werent even close to be in doubt. Even yesterday. When we were down by 12 it never felt like we were done

We have lost leads all year, one of the worst teams at doing that. And in Game 1 and 2 they cut it to 7 a few times. And we were down by 12?

When? IIRC we always seemed to be a second half team. plus some of the leads being lost was because kobe/Pau sat late quite a bit.

Plus we didnt lose that many leads. We won 65+ w/out our starting 5 for 32

Barkley's comments were stupid. I said this at the time. It was dumb.

Barkley was upset because he was embarrassed because he spent so much time during pre-game saying that Boozer's comments revealed a lack of confidence, blah, blah. Since Barkley can't be wrong, the Lakers must have the problem.

The Lakers didn't play poorly because they didn't care. Andrew didn't get 5 fouls in 7 minutes because he didn't care.

Fisher doesn't get torched on defense by younger point guards because he doesn't care.

lakers played like absolute [expletive].

jazz played like God was on the team and we only lost by 2 point.

they think they did something positive, but they helped us know we are clearly better.

I see faith in your eyes
never you hear the discouraging lies
broken is the promise, betrayal
the healing hand held back by deepened nail
follow the god that failed
