Took it a few times and it varied between 65-85. The things that threw me off where those quotation marks, commas, random capital words, and those random dashes (--).

^ I can handle all punctuation marks really well as well fortunately, but like I said, the numbers are the only thing I'm not 'expert' on, but again, they're not that big a deal and at least I'm average on those.

Yeah numbers are the only thing that really throws me off.

^^^^Dunno about taking it a few times. I'm sure I can get better the 2nd and 3rd times around...That's sort of like cheating since you already know what you're basically going to type..

Still, nobody knows what's the minimum requirement of WPM for a data entry person/job?

Here's one job listing I saw - don't know if it's like this for every company, though:

Job Duties:

Enters alpha numeric and information into a computer system.
Will process customer updates and changes in files.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a professional business office.
Works under immediate supervision.
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
Reports to a supervisor or manager.

Competative wages and benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:
6+ months full-time experience
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for a professional business office.
Computer literacy with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

It takes me a long time since I type with two damn fingers. I got about 60WPM with a lot of errors, but I do type pretty fast when I know what I want to type and I don't need to look at anything else to type.
