No wonder we haven't seen the prime Bynum and flashes of his ultimate explosion along with a lot of dunking.

Hopefully he'll be %100 soon. Don't want him to risk further injury!

We all know he'll give it its all with or without the pain! :)

Didn't realize he still had some pain. He'll be fine though, just want him to take it easy and not try to overexert himself.

Laker center Andrew Bynum sat out the majority of practice because of knee discomfort, the L.A. Times are reporting.

The move was more precautionary than anything, but it is the same right knee that sidelined him for 32 games because of a torn medial collateral ligament.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson indicated the soreness might be related to the bulky brace Bynum had worn since returning six games ago.

"I don't think it's anything that the training staff thought was structural," Jackson said. "Some of it's due to [the] brace, wearing the brace and the inhibiting of the brace of the motions. I think it's all capable of working out, but he did not work much on the court [Wednesday] at all."

A team spokesman told the Times that Bynum would play in game 3 on Thursday.

Besides the starts of each quarter, I believe majority of the minutes will go to Pau and LO so AB can be situational, as well as ease up on that knee.

Our rotation shows anyway.

As long as playing through this doesn't risk further injury, then it's no big deal.

If need be, let him sit a game. I don't think it would crush us.

I'm sure the brace he is wearing is quite uncomfortable when you have it on for a certain amount of time.

I hope that's the case. And the pain is outside his knee, not on the inside...

Andrew Bynum's days of gushing about how great his knee feels appear to be over. Bynum said after the Lakers' Game 2 victory that he has some pain on the outside of his right knee. He said it was an irritation in his iliotibial band but isn't a major concern. He said it's "going to be there for a little while." Bynum described his current health as "pretty good" six games into a return from a torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Assessing both the state of his body and his game, he said he is "feeling overall about 95 percent."

Decrease his minutes, throw Josh Powell in the mix.

Its the first round, try to prevent major pain in the future.

If its only a pain thing who cares. he needs to deal. I had to wear a brace for 6 weeks before and it caused pain as well. It has to do with tightening of muscles, still being raw from injuries etc. My knee obviously isnt attached to 7feet nor was it put through what AB puts his through, but i did take rests from moving it. Even sitting was a bit uncomfortable.

Hes good .
