That would be pretty crazy if Kemp and Kershaw win MVP and Cy Young considering how dreadful our team is.

Guerra shaky but nice save.
Braves my second favorite team and they have a good pitching like the brewers we're gonna get our butts kicked their this weekend lol
we've scored a boatload of runs the past 10 days I just know when we run into a quality pitching staff like that we can get shut down offensively the whole series, im cautiously excited but I know its not gonna go well.

Matt Kemp had a truly remarkable season in 2011, and on Thursday was rewarded, being named the 2011 National League Hank Aaron Award winner. The award is given to the top offensive performer in each league, and is voted on by a panel of Hall of Fame members, as well as fans who voted online on MLB.com. This year's Hall of Fame panel included Aaron, Joe Morgan, Roberto Alomar, Tony Gwynn, Paul Molitor, Willie McCovey, Billy Williams and Robin Yount.
The Hank Aaron award has been given annually since 1999, and Kemp is the first Dodger to take home the honors. Kemp flirted with the triple crown during the final week of the season, ultimately falling short in batting average. But Kemp did lead the National League in home runs, RBI, runs scored, total bases, and OPS+.

The deal for Rivera, which will likely be finalized this week, is a one-year contract plus an option for 2013, per Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times. Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reported the deal was worth "approximately $4 million" guaranteed. That could translate into something like a $3.5 million salary in 2012 and a 2013 option for similar money with a buyout of $500,000.
Rivera hit .258/.319/.374 with 11 home runs and 74 RBI in 132 games between the Toronto Blue Jays and Dodgers in 2011. He was designated for assignment by Toronto on July 4, and traded to the Dodgers eight days later for a player to be named later or cash.
With the Dodgers, Rivera hit .274/.333/.406 with 12 doubles and five home runs in 62 games. However, Rivera excelled in run-scoring opportunities in Los Angeles, hitting .344/.405/.484 with runners in scoring position. His 46 RBI with the Dodgers were ninth-most in the National League after the All-Star break. Rivera started 32 games in left field, 13 games in right field, and 13 games at first base for the Dodgers.
Rivera, 33, made $5.25 million in 2011 in the final season of a three-year contract he signed with the Los Angeles Angels prior to the 2009 season.

#Dodgers spent $30 mill on FA's Rivera, Ellis, Capuano, Kennedy & Treanor all over 34 yrs old how can they possibly be better than 2011? And they signed Aaron Harang today. They signed contracts and backloaded them to make sure the new owner gets the brunt of the contract. Fckin McCourt

DAMNIT WTF McCourt is screwing us over

Capuano is a good addition to the pitching staff. Kennedy signed a deal just under a million dollars. Treanor is just about a million dollars, which is fine for a backup.
I never liked the Rivera signing but we'll see if his production can still be consistent. Ellis is a decent signing, but I'd rather give Justin Sellers a shot.
This off-season was all about resigning Matt Kemp. MLB was never going to approve a big deal for a big free agent, that was reported by many people close to Major League baseball.
It hasn't been a bad off-season. The Dodgers had to address some spots and they did. The money won't be an issue for our next owner so its fine. Nothing to freak out about.
