To add injury to insult...

WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) -- Boston Celtics forward Leon Powe is out for the rest of the season with a torn knee ligament.

The Celtics are already without Kevin Garnett as they try to defend their unprecedented 17th NBA title.

The Celtics beat the Chicago Bulls 118-115 on Monday night to even their best-of-seven first-round series at one game apiece. Powe hurt himself on a spin move but stayed on the court three more minutes trying to play.

Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is sitting out practice Tuesday and Wednesday with a sprained ankle. But coach Doc Rivers says Rondo will be able to play in Game 3 on Thursday night.

This series is over. All it takes is one game for the Celtics to get into mild foul trouble and it's game set.
"If you could stop all the players that get publicized and all the players that the NBA likes and all the players, you know, the players that win the MVP's, you know, for their offense. And some of them, you know, play pretty good defense too. But some of them, you know, they like "this guy he can shoot, he can score, he can dunk." and I want to be the one to stop all those guys, you know, and just kinda spoil the whole party." - Ron Artest

But wait Paul Pierce said he's the best player in the world.

Surely he can win the games by himself right?

No sympathy - don't care what bad or good happens to the Celtics, just want the Lakers to win it all.

word. Except for Ainge and the heart attack I agree. I hope Ainge is ok and recovers 100%. We wouldnt want Laker fans stooping to the lowly cockroach level that Celtic fans always seem to gravitate to.

Nah, they just don't play him because he's the team mascot. That's his job.

Sucks for the Celtics. More minutes for their starters.

True. They did fire Lucky, so there is a need for a mascot.

That means more minutes for Mikki Moore, AKA the guy who is worse than Chris Mihm...
