Houston's Carl Landry may be the next NBA player to turn away offers from NBA teams to cash in overseas, his agent has told the Houston Chronicle.

"Carl would entertain all serious offers," Landry's agent, Buddy Baker, told Houston television station KRIV-TV on Wednesday. "There is serious interest in Carl by both other NBA teams and internationally."

On Wednesday, former Hawks' forward Josh Childress surprisingly made the jump from the NBA to Euroleague despite being wanted by Atlanta.

What the hell is going on here? Some people are saying that these players are leaving the NBA 'cause they think the NBA has failed them with all the referee scandals.

I hope that isn't the case.

I don't believe it for a second.

Childress got 10+ million a year. This is all about the Benjamins baby.

The money does play a big part, but I think the fact that these guys play for a passionate crowd, in a beautiful country, with a beautiful lifestyle, living with hospitable and friendly people plays a part. They also don't have the same pressure and media as in the NBA.

There are reasons other than money as to why these players are coming to Europe.
