It is believed that the Mavericks want point guard Jason Kidd, who will be a free agent, back next season.

Kidd is expected to be courted by a number of contenders, but Dallas might be able to persuade him to return if they offer a two-to three-year deal, according to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.

RealGM Note: Kidd ranked second among point guards in FIC this season, behind only Chris Paul of the Hornets.

Yea probably. There's really no incentive to join a non-contender at this point in his career unless they will pay big bucks and give him job security.

Mavs need to make a few changes, they're not going anywhere with that roster.

I think Kidd might just shun Dallas and sign the MLE with the Lakers. Money won't be the deciding factor for him imo.

Anybody hear the rumor that Cuban will make a big play for Ariza???
