Rudy Fernandez, another sub, scored 18 points, going 6-for-9 from 3-point range. The rookie from Spain has hit 159 3-pointers, surpassing the rookie record for 3s held by Kerry Kittles (158).

"It was important. Everybody in Spain talked about the record," he said. "I think it's great a Spanish guy takes the record. It's good for the team, good for Spain and great for me."

The Spanish basketball players in the NBA are not going unrecognized in the last several years. This year rookie, Rudy Fernandez set an NBA Rookie record of 3 points made during the regular season finishing up with 159. Former record holder was Kerry Kittles and below him last year was Spaniard Juan Carlos Navarro in 2nd place with 156. Fernandez will be participating in his first NBA playoff game starting soon.

Good for Twiggy. Hasn't the record been broken for two years straight now? Shows you just how much more perimeter-oriented the game is becoming as the years go on.

No. Kerry Kittles last held it. Long time ago. You're completely wrong.

Last year Navarro nearly broke it with 156. And that's it.
