How many of our shots rattled in and out today? Must have been a playoff record.

Exactly. He was so damn effective when he was driving and when he REALLY needed to do it, like this game, he didn't do it nearly enough when his shot was off.

And I like Kenny's analysis.

The thing that pisses me off the most about tonight's loss is just the fact that it seems like the Lakers have learned NOTHING from why they lost in the Finals last season (no defense).

You play just an OUNCE of defense in those final minutes and you walk away with a victory and a 3-0 series lead tonight. I'm not worried about the actual series. Utah has ZERO chance of winning this series. ZERO. I have a better chance of winning the lottery twice, while also getting struck by lightning.

But for ****'s sake, play some defense.

while we weren't good as a team i'm going to be honest as much kobe crippled our offense gasol ruined our defense

boozer not only manhandled him one on one he got out rebounded by a ridiculous margin giving the jazz second shots and the pick and roll he was owned

gasol and kobe our two guys lost us this game

I hate to say it, but don't you feel like we should've waited to take the last shot when there was 16 seconds left?

Look at our line-up down the stretch tonight, versus the team that went to the Finals last year (and lost 2 games to Utah).

What is the difference?

Shannon Brown was on the bench, so our PG defense is the same (non-existent, Derek Fisher).
Bynum got 6 fouls in 7 minutes, so he was long gone.

Our only difference in talent on the court vs. last year was Ariza (back and healthy).

We got torched because Fisher couldn't keep up with Williams (really, does that surprise anyone on the planet, especially people who have been watching Fisher since 1996), and Gasol lacks the physicality to hold Boozer off the block. And to add to this, when Boozer made his last dunk, he hooked Gasol. Where was Bynum to protect the rim? Wait, we've already answered that.

If we lose on Saturday, which is very possible, then we'll talk. But I refuse to get caught up in over-analyzing this loss to a Utah team that is very good at home and took us 6 games last year.

Ah this game REALLY is getting to me. We knew it's a hard place to play...Yet we still give up a huge lead? Kobe is horrible. But have we not learned a single thing from the finals? Gasol is still a wuss...And we still can't play freaking DEFENSE!!!!!

I missed his fourth one, too.

We gave up a huge lead because it is a hard place to play.

They out did us down the stretch...W/O Okur. So when he comes back it'll be even more deadly. You never know if we lose they could easily win game 5.

after clearing my head. i feel better. lol

Everyone sucked except Lamar. Which is kind of weird.

Pau free throws missed getting owned by Boozer on that dunk...could have used bynum to defend that play at least... Kobe 5-24 o.o. Boozer 20 and 20.

And frickin Matt Harpring of all people led the charge in the beginning of the 4th. That's like the first time i've seen Harpring do anything like that in his career.

That's the leadership you are supposed to show after a loss. The "It's no big deal" attitude. MJ, Bron, or Duncan would never be so happy after a loss.

Double-check the play-by-play on espn.com.

I think he only had 5 fouls, but somewhere, he got hung with a 6th.
