Bill is very informative, guys. Some things I've learned from him during games this season ...

Pau Gasol is #16.
He plays for the Spanish national team.
Used to play for Memphis.
Has a younger brother, Marc.

Kobe is 6'6", 220.
Drafted by the Hornets at number 13 in 1996.
Went to Lower Merion HS in Philly.

Bill is great, stop hating.

I missed reading these. So glad I didn't come across them a few games ago.

So very wrong. Kobe wasn't playing within D'Antoni's system, this was just the Lakers running their offense through Kobe alone relegating Nash to playing off ball. D'Antoni and Nash both acknowledged after the game that they had gone to something completely different from what they were doing prior to Friday against Utah. This isn't even close to being D'Antoni's system, I'm not sure why you would even think that:

Ok, I apologize.

Get Kobe to PASS THE BALL and the Lakers win...better?

Kobe's been the number one passing SG and was always main facilitator of all Laker teams.

The only reason that dropped this year was because Nash was thought to be the one to do that and use Kobe off ball. It didn't work out. Now Kobe is back to being mnain facilitator and because of the talent surrounding him he's had 14 14 and 11 assists. Kobe has ALWAYS passed. He's been main facilitator since the triangle days. In fact even with his assist numbers down because he's been off ball most of this year there's only 2 people in the league(not point guards) that avg more assists than him. Lebron and Harden.

So even playing off ball, only lebron and harden average more assists per game than Kobe... And now being main facilitator Kobe if he stays on pace will be in the top 10 11th at least in assists in the league...

So what were you saying?

I wonder if other teams' forums have Laker Fans React To threads. You know, other fans would have a good laugh at what we're spewing out in posts right now and in past games.

^ I think they would especially enjoy the critique of the announcers. You know the season is crappy when we start nagging on the poor announcers.

I've criticized Bill McDonald for years, much more when he became announcer for the Lakers last year. Guy is a horrible announcer plain and simple.

The announcers dont add or subtract enough for me to care I guess. There was only one gold standard, Chick, all the rest are just white noise to me.

SPERO would've brought the excitement back!!

Dude has a radio play-by-play background (u have to be 100 times more descriptive and quick-thinking to describe live game action that people must visualize!) and is incredibly knowledgeable!

^ Don't act like Spero is so innocent himself. Dude wasn't willing to fully comitt to the Lakers at 100%. He wanted certain things on his terms.

what was he asking for that was so eye-opening? considering we had just bagged a 3 billion dollar TV deal, i figured money wouldn't be an issue. just like the rest of this year, we've had to make due with sub-par Laker employees. thanks Jim!

^ He couldn't be there for all the games. He wanted to still be able to do other games from other sports as well and the Lakers' schedule wouldn't allow him to apparently. Lakers wanted all in or nothing from him and he wasn't willing to go all in.

yo.

Artest is a dirty SOB. I hope he gets suspended.

Lakers got every call. NBA=WWE

Sad when the NBA clings to has-been teams, and that they really think thats who ppl want to see in the playoffs. ppl want to see new upcoming teams, not watch the Celtics lose in the 1st round.

When Clark missed the 2 FT's

Earl Clark ain't no Clark Kent

Theres more applause for Kobe than there is for Detroit, sad days

After the World Peace incident

I'm just waiting for someone to throw a beer at Artest.

The crowd loves the Lakers, Knight passed them the ball so they had something to cheer for. What a guy!

Malace at the Palace round 2

Blake is such a bad defender I think the refs allow him to play D with his arms to give him a handicap rule -_-.

I counted 3 travelling violations on ONE SINGLE LA POSSESSION, give me a break, the NBA is as crooked as a lawyer's spine.

Laker government bailout

laker fans dominates in palace Posted Image

STFU Nash

Why in the world is Knight not attacking? Steve freakin Nash is defending you man

Funny how they thought it was so terribly called when we have a much stronger argument, especially towards the end of the game.

- Clark getting called for goal tending on what was clearly a clean block.

- No backcourt violation on the Pistons' imbound pass? He was clearly back court. Easy call.

- The longest 5 seconds I've ever seen when the Pistons were imbounding for that last play. I even replayed it and watched the ref. I twas like 1.5 seconds each time he counted a second with his arm.

Nets Fans Reaction To Tonight's Game 2/5/13

Pre-Game:

Nets are giving Lakers way to much respect again, we have the better record we should have the confidence. Just like the game in Nov they think the lakers are a top team. When NEts play top teams they get scared.

A team with Kobe, Nash, and Gasol should be respected.

I predict a loss.

Dwight or no Dwight...
Just beat the heck out of ’em mercilessly tonight.

“Kristieackert ‏@Kristieackert
There are a lot of Kobe jerseys in brooklyn tonight”

We can’t let LA get off to a fast start. Arena will not sound pretty.

yeah those Kobe fans, cant let him heat up. Hope they all go home upset after a blowout loss

Surrounded by Fakers fans In section 120
Section 212 is all Fakers fans chanting and making Nets fans looking pathetic. We better win less Ill be POed!

Tom Lorenzo ‏@TomLorenzo
Ballparkin’ about 60% Lakers fans at Barclays tonight (15 mins. before tip).

Yeah this could be bad.

I really can't stand all of these poser fans.
It’s sickening how people can so fickly shift allegiances and bandwagon for the best teams.

Yeah it's annoying but LAL has a massive fanbase..especially in NYC.

Too bad the Nets are going to win

Gametime:

Be careful of Earl Clark this young stud wants to prove himself

The Lakers look so much better without Howard. Pau is 100%% better offensively

Is LA really going with Blake and Nash? DWill and JJ better kill them

As I said earlier...Play the Lakers is like playing the Patriots, you have to beat them AND the officials.

fool me once shame on me
fool me twelve times..

HOW IS THIS GAME CLOSE?

Lakers bench > Nets bench?

I hate this team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw PJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lmao we are playing their scrubs and we cant score...this is sad

Refs are on a mission to get Lakers to playoffs

Mike Dantoni is shutting nets offense down LMFAO...read that

OMG they are even sending scrubs like Sacre to the line!!!

Sacre is outplaying Blatche.....yes you're not the only one, I don't know who he is either

Laker fans cheering is pissing me off

Nets are playing like this Lakers team is the 2010 championship team. Instead of playing with confidence they scared

Gasol is outplaying Lopez

Gasol is schooling Lopez

THIS IS WORSE THAN LAST TIME

No dwight or artest and outplaying us

ugh this team is soooo bad on the road

This one has loss written all over it.
Silly me for thinking we can beat depleted, struggling Lakers. It’s way to hard for our milti million roster. Thank God we’re playing Wizards soon. maybe we can beat then in 2 overtimes.

Lol the Lakers are a terrible defensive team
D’antoni is shutting us down

Our second unit stinks like a bad burrito dump.

MVP CHANTS!!!!!!!! PERFECT!

Loud Laker contingent in arena
annoying.
Loud cheers when Nash hit floater and Bryant stole ball and when Bryant at freethrow line
eff that

Our offense is bad enough to be locked by the worst defensive system by D'Antoni.

this is unwatchable

BOOOOO!

I didn't know we were playing in LA..

pathetic

i take time out of my work to watch and this is how they show up. peace
