And what is the change that most of them notice?

Kobe.

It starts there. Get Kobe to play within the system and the Lakers win easily. Great thread.

So very wrong. Kobe wasn't playing within D'Antoni's system, this was just the Lakers running their offense through Kobe alone relegating Nash to playing off ball. D'Antoni and Nash both acknowledged after the game that they had gone to something completely different from what they were doing prior to Friday against Utah. This isn't even close to being D'Antoni's system, I'm not sure why you would even think that:

"This isn't necessarily any offense," Nash said after the Lakers' 105-96 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. "This is bringing the ball down, calling over a pick and playing the game and because we have good players on the floor, when (Bryant) distributes we can make them pay for leaning too much to Kobe. When they lean too much to us, he makes them pay."
...

"There is an adjustment but I think the key for us is to not look at the past and how we played in the past individually and say, ‘Hey, I had success doing it this way,'" Nash said.

"(D'Antoni is) telling us to go but sometimes you can't get those engines to start up that fast," said Dwight Howard, who has been the most vocal critic of D'Antoni's offense this season, clamoring for more post-up opportunities.

Are the Lakers listening to D'Antoni's direction?

"We listen," Howard said. "But we're the guys out there playing. We see things that sometimes the coaches may not see. We're an opportunity fastbreak team right now because we don't have a lot of speed. When we get the ball in the half court, we still can move and do all the things out of the offense. He wants us to stay spread, which for the most part we do."

Insubordination? Inmates running the asylum? Maybe for a team without the talent that the Lakers have. But not for these guys. It has worked because D'Antoni has let go a little and the players have committed to being on the same page.

It shouldn't matter who should get credit for the change, because it's in everybody's best interest associated with the Lakers to simply win games by any means necessary.

"Finally we hit rock bottom and who knows why things stick (but) it does and they decided to do this," D'Antoni said. "And, it's good."

Yes, yes indeed.

"You watch anime?"

Yes but he is a million dollar paperweight holding down a billion dollar stack of paper. A cheaper paperweight might be able to do the job just aswell but whats the point once you've already spent the money?

By the way, I didn't know where to post this but this angle makes the play so much better

This reminds me of Kobe dishing to Shaq during the 3-peat days. Dribble penetration and the acrobatic pass from Kobe to the big fella.

Pelicans Fans Reactions To Tonight's Game 1/29/13

Pre-Game

I'll actually be in the Staple Center for this.

And in my Pelicans gear yoooooooo!

Go Pelicans!!! Beat LA!

Lakers fans & players are the absolute LAST fans that can talk about our new name. Even after the Nets. At least we know WTH a Net is.

1. What exactly is a laker?
2. Why should I fear them?
3. How can I fear something that doesn't exist?
4. What do lakers have to do with Los Angeles?
5. What do lakes have to do with Los Angeles?
6. Why should I fear a lake? At least an ocean can produce a tsunami. What can a lake do?
7. Pelicans can divebomb into lakes and eat ducklings and fish that swim in them. So we obviously don't fear them.

Just remember these points whenever a Lakers fan says something about Pelicans.

if we win this game I have full faith in us making play offs.

If not....then yeah......

Game plan:
Kobe shoots a lot when the rest of the team struggles. Force the other guys to have a bad night and Kobe will start chucking.

Shaq said Lakers by 30. That big dummy.

I hope we beat these people. I just watched the D.Howard and Kobe video and I hate them even more

1st Half

good start, we need to bait kobe into taking matters into his own hands.

We need to make these Flakers beat us with jumpers not insider shots and layups

I told you guys Earl Clark would be great for the Lakers.

Dat Clark...

Man...our 2nd unit sucks ass so baddd.

F*** that, we lost already this game. MONTY DO SOMETHING MORON!!!!!!!

This is laughable. So sad.

Wow. Terrible coach. I rather have Mike Brown right now. This dude is a joke.

I hate Monty right now. Ugh

Lakers just brought in 2 more starters plus Gasol and we're still rolling with 5 subs. SMH

I'm at the game! This is not pretty

P.S. it's hard to get a Pelicans chant in here

Yeah..cauz ya is in the Lakers' house...

There's another agenda besides winning games this season, that's the only possible explanation..

...

Don't nobody say nothin'.

Laker Girls get the worst outfit of the season so far

If I'm SEVEN FEET TALL I'm not laying (bleep) up lopez... JAM THAT PUT BACK IN

He doesnt get a tech but we get called for anything. Typical NBA's golden child.

I wanna slap that color commentator. Horrible commentators.

I have never seen a T get waived off.

Only the Lakers....(bleep) you guys.

We are playing 5 vs 8.

I never thought I'd say this, but they need to let Kobe get some open shots and hope he forgets about this new passing thing he's discovered.

Leave Kobe Open...?

Earl Clark is beast, hat Aminu as supposed to be

2nd Half

They called a 3 second?

WHAT!??! Is this real life?!?!!

Holy crap!! finally they called a 3 second on him!!!

3 SECONDS AGAINST HOWARD

I DON'T BELIEVE IT

THE WORLD GONNA END!

I just found a new song for our team...

Lay up, clank, bank shot, clank
Sit down, clank, stand up, clank
Pass out, clank, screen up, clank
Faded, clank, faded, clank

Sounds like a Lamar Kendrick's song.

Howard killing us

Can we stop Howard? Seriously?

Howard is beating Lopez down the floor...Lopez is the only one with enough girth to bang with him, but Howard has a major quickness advantage

this Lakers..God what are they. the spurs?

WHEN WILL WE STOP DOUBLING OFF OF HOWARD. IT HASN'T WORKED ONCE

Defense looks good...until the Lakers pass it.

Howard standing in the paint for days. Freaking camper.

wait... do the Laker Girls have Carl Jr's ads on their outfits?

geez man give earl clark the mvp award

Pelicans can't roll!!! Says Ernie Johnson...so what can lakers do Ernie??? Swim in the Lake???

HahahahHha these dumb fakers announcers!!! Man im muting it now....just said ive seen worse travels

These Laker fans/commentaters are annoyin as (bleep). I'd blow my brain right now if I have a shotgun. argh!

Refs hate us and we cant rebound

I wish that the next time I heard Gasol crying as he gets fouled would be because he was breaking his leg or something to really make him moan. Dude is a little *****.

I hate this bench with a passion
bench comes in... 4 point deficit becomes 11

are these refs part spanish? pau gets every call

So we almost tied the game and have all the momentum and Monty brings in Rivers and company to hand it back to the Lakers !!

Rivers went for a rebound and all he came up with was a woman named Pau Gasol.

I really wanted to beat the Lakers man :(

Man don't I know the feeling. I was hoping to leave to a quiet arena.

Worst. Bench. Ever.

Is it just me or do the refs look sad when they have to call something against LA?

We suck against the lakers. How we never beat these clowns is beyond me. We had them by the balls twice last year and we just couldnt do it. This year when they are somewhat struggling we still cant seem to come away with ****. Anderson please make a 3 pointer aaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

F u refs and lakers. I'm ashamed bench and Monty, pathetic.

so..now we're only trailing by 4...but I ain't gettin my hopes up Hornets. Stop playing with me.

1 POINT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

awwwww!! God, why!?!? (bleep)

I just don't get it man smh....no im smdh actually

NBA refs are the worst.
