More Reaction From Thunder Fans

I think I speak for all when I saw that I’m really enjoying the Lakers current struggles and misery. But you know what terrifies me? Not necessarily that they’re going to figure things out and win 15 straight, because I think that ship has sailed. It’s that they’re going to win a couple games and grab everyone’s attention and fire up stories like, “Have the Lakers turned the corner?” And it obviously starts by beating a team like the Thunder on national TV.

If you think you’ve heard this story before, it’s because I said almost the exact same thing the first two games against LA. And both times, the Thunder put the Lakers back in their place. It’s very obvious the Thunder are superior to the Lakers in every way, but they do have four likely Hall of Famers and are still a threat to start playing dangerous basketball. And you know — you know — if they beat the Thunder today, it’s going to cause a minor freakout. I’d very much prefer that not happen.

the laker crowd sounds like they are at a funeral
which is fitting i guess...

we kind of suck today

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY LIFE

So Jamison is the scrub that steps up today huh

Should be runnin these folks out the gym, stop slowing it down to they're speed

I look at the scoreboard and worry...then I see D'Antoni and remember what a mismatch he is for the Lakers squad,

Yea, we're losing today.

Lakers came to play today...they are turning the season around

lakers are having to shoot LIGHTS OUT just to stay in this game lol.

Really enjoying this "Laker's Talk" broadcast. You'd think that they were the team with the best record in the NBA rather than 12th in the west.

everyone needs to chill, we got this

well that stretch was embarrassing

we just got beat on the fastbreak by two 40 year olds

So....we were up by 2 and Howard misses 4 FTS in a row and now we're down 3?

Dont resurrect your season on our time!

We are clearly toying around with the Lakers and need to stop.

Lakers look much better offensively with Kobe playing this way.

Of course, Gasol found his shot

MWP is hitting some bullsh** shots.

Lakers out running us big time. Where's the effort?

The NBA needs the Lakers to win.

Guys, stop complaining about the refs.
If Westbrook didn't have a 19.9% YMCA rating we'd be winning right now.

Did Westbrook get punched in the head before the game?
WHAT DID YOU DO TO WESTBROOK, PERKINS?!

2nd half, PLEASE thunder come out and crush any hope they have. i hate L.A as much as miami

IS THIS REAL LIFE

Did i wake up in bizarro world this morning?!?!

Dwight's headband is pissing me off.

KOBE NEEDS TO F*** OFF

Those tight a** pants Westbrook had on before the game cut off his circulation. That's why he's playing so bad.

This is worse than westbrooks 0-13 game last year

We haven't scouted the Kobe shot fake jump pass yet? He's done it 20 times in a row.

god i wanna go on a run so bad, i hate L.A

Westbrook: 14.5% eFG

Rest of Team: 56.5% eFG

We don't need advanced stats to see russ is shooting like sh**

i'm worried. are yall worried?

We are playing right into the Lakers hands right now, slow unathletic basketball.

i hate this game. just saying.
COME ON 4th quarter THUNDER LEAD!!!!!!!

Idk why everyone is ignoring the fact that kobe is guarding westbrook as if kobes not a good on ball defender as well as bigger.

Are you insinuating that Kobe is locking down Westbrook?
LMAO.

Kobe isn't doing anything special against RW, why are you so eager to suck his c*** today?

Let's put in our scrubs to out-scrub their scrubs!

The Lakers are just making some bullsh** now.

We will never hear the end about this loss.

we cant stop them on offense and our offense is trash

Would this be worse then the Wiz loss?

lol no

it just pisses me off to have to hear how the lakers are contenders again on every show

F*** THIS GAME STRAIGHT TO HELL

Is the fun we get if we get Lakers first round?

i can't believe we're gonna lose to this season's lakers

kd gets slapped in the head, no call, russ gets slapped in the head no call, good job L.A
piiift.

How can you blame the refs when the primary ballhandler on the team, the guy tasked with initiating the e offense, keeps imploding?!

THUNDER I'M BEGGIN U!

Lakers were better today all around. I'm not mad.

I so hate MWP. Nice to see him turn it over like that.

iced...im turning off espn for a week

wow Lakers actually look good

Kobe raping us.

Kobe doing the same move OVER and OVER and we still haven't tried to stop it..

that Kobe baseline is unstopable

Thunder helping breathe life in LA

Live by Westbrook. Die by Westbrick

Kobe has that killer instinct that players on the Thunder do not. He senses the opponents weakness and goes in for the kill. Have to respect that.

The Lakers still aren't making the playoffs. Chill out.

they are good i think they will

god i dont want this loss, L.A will be strutting for days cause of this bullSH#%

"Hmmm...my shot's not falling today - maybe I should see if KMart can get it rolling and help us out." - Things that never even cross Westbrook's mind

Dagger from Mamba, sad to say.

I told you guys I was scared of this game.

I told you guys I was scared of this game.

To a sub .500 team, yes very bad loss.

Lakers are back and VERY scary. I don't want them to see them in the playoffs.

I loathe the Lakers. If they added JJ Barea somehow they would be the most disgusting collection of basketball players in the history of the world.

The Lakers didn't beat us.

I saw it happen.

I guess if #BOS can beat #MIA #LAL can beat us........................... sheeeez, that one hurt

I dont think its as simple as we didnt show up. Lakers executed very well.

Lakers are just 4 games out of 8th. They have more talent than the teams immediately above them. It's possible (although unlikely) that they pass them. Just throwing some food for thought out there.

Scary scenario: Lakers finish the season on a great run, grab the 7th or 8th seed. We have to face a motivated (and hot) Lakers team in the first round.

excuse: kobe stole rondo's passing skills en route to 14 assists and ultimately the win

Lakers finally putting things together. Thats my excuse

For all the talk about Durant vs James, Kobe is still the most clutch player in the 4th quarter.

I kinda hope we get the 2 seed so we don't have to see the Lakers in the first round...they are good when Kobe plays like this instead of 40 points on 35 shots

Lord they gonna play this game all week on @NBATV

well have to go. My wife says if I spend any more second staying mad at the Thunder game and venting on a this message board about it rather than focusing on real life (i.e., her and the kids), she's going to kill me. Sigh. Tough day

Haha I hope they are right and we right this ship and become the force we were supposed to be all along. Really fun to watch us playing so well today and Westbrick in action too.

Holy [expletive]!

That play reminded me of those early 2000s playoff series against the Spurs. Kobe would cut through the Spurs defense and Duncan and Robinson would meet him at the rim and he'd just hand it off to Shaq for the easy dunk. There was one play where he wrapped the pass around Duncan or Robinson's back right to Shaq.

They're right about facing them in the first round. Just to make the playoffs, we'd have to go on a crazy run and as a result, we'd be peaking going into the playoffs.

And what is the change that most of them notice?

Kobe.

It starts there. Get Kobe to play within the system and the Lakers win easily. Great thread.

Haha I'm pretty sure that was nothing close to the system Mike envisioned coming here, Nash playing off the ball with Kobe posting up 90% of the game and making plays. That was as much as an "Iso Kobe" game as we have had this year

We played "Iso Kobe" more in the second half but he didn't take contested jumpers. Pretty effective considering "Iso Kobe" will attract defenders leaving someone open. They can't stop that cause if they don't come to Kobe, he will just.. score... Lmfao

Do you honestly think D'antoni's initial system to have Kobe be main ball handler and facilitator and have Nash play off ball the majority of the time.

D'antoni's vision was actually the other way around and we weren't having much success. Now Nash is playing off ball and Kobe is main facilitator.

That was NOT D'antoni"s system till recently.
